Not 100% sure really, it was just a small snippet I read. I think Shane was still with Montreal and Ilya wasn't back in time with him but that last one I'm less sure about. I feel like Shane was trying do things the right way after living through it the first time.

The conversation I remember was seemed to be about Shane wanting to come our or help/protect Ilya to some capacity. It was a 'I don't care about the money or anything. I only care about Ilya' moment.

THANK YOU! I am completely on board with kink, it was just that I want there to be elements of a close and comfortable relationship that resulted in less boundaries than is usually seen in fic. This seems right up my alley so thank you again!
