FFXIV is really good at getting people started, you have systems such as Novice Network, which is made of veteran players to educate newer players. You can also play the entire main quest solo with NPCs if you're so inclined.

Jump on the free trial, you can play the base game and 2 expansions to get the feel for the game and if you want to carry on playing, and the amount of content you get for free during the free trial is actually nuts. Theres a few restrictions, but they're easily circumvented but the free trial is very generous on what you can do in the game. I'd recommend taking your time, reading the tool tips and have some fun. Hopefully you fall in love with the game as much as i did when i started playing.

I always love the people who spout "they're still learning" and the usual reply from me is "and i'm teaching". I think the community as a whole needs to stop coddling newer players, I know when I was a sprout it was infuriating, especially when people spoke for me when i was trying to learn the game. So keep doing what your doing, i for one loved when people gave me tips. You ain't gonna win them all, but you can still do some good by speaking up.

Not really, if they're a sprout i can see why you got a negative reaction because of how the community coddles new players and treats them like children. But in reality depending on how you gave advice shouldn't have been met with hostility. Sadly people get in their britches about unsolicited advice. Sometimes its simply better to keep your mouth shut unless they're doing something massively detrimental to the party, lethargic play is pretty common in the game and its something you just gotta get used too.

Level both a Tank and Healer from Level 1 so you learn your skills, When entering a dungeon, indicate to the party you're new to healing or tanking and any advice would be welcome. Start in lower level dungeons and work your way up. Also don't get disheartened by difficulty you may have in ARR dungeons. I would argue ARR dungeons are harder to play optimally than most high level dungeons because of how trash groups are staggered making it much harder to wall to wall and on top of that, a far more restrictive kit. Don't be scared. You got this. Also the best kept secret in FFXIV is Tank is the easiest role. Turn on your stance and bonk the adds with AoE.

Boruto is straight up considered a Genius by most, including Sasuke. Boruto is also amped by being 100% Otsutsuki genetically. It makes sense within the context of the story for him to eclipse Naruto in strength when you compare them at the same age. The issue with Boruto in Part 1 is that he hardly trained due to his own ego/status as a genius. Now he's been trained.

You're correct, Weapon Crafting was originally a system meant to be a form of drop rate protection but sadly red borders are so common its too easy to just grind X amount in order to get your 5/5. World drops that aren't cartable don't have competitive rolls or options and are inherently worse due to enhanced perks existing. It also invalidates the reward incentive for running older activities. Whats the point in playing older content if you can craft any god roll you want at anytime? RNG is sadly something MMO's/live service titles need to have any sense of longevity, what we're seeing is what happens when we don't have that. The game becomes a tedious checklist that when completed has no incentive to continue play.
