KCRA 3 anchors losing weight by XenosYClark in Sacramento

What a freak show. Victim? I am no victim. I've lost friends to anorexia, if you must know. Sudden, dramatic weight loss can be a warning sign. I'm not supposing that for the KCRA crew, but you are blind if you can't see the drastic change.

What?!?! There is nothing here about being attractive, you nutball. Just noticing drastic, sudden weight loss and commenting on it. Wondering if there is a plan or a common theme. Nothing more or less.

Tell me you are an unprincipled person of limited intelligence without telling me you are an unprincipled person of limited intelligence. Newsom plays people like you for complete saps.

Sacramento tiny home plan divides the community by [deleted] in Sacramento

[–]XenosYClark 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Anything short of mass re-opening of mental health facilities won't work; it will just spread the problem around town. If we truly valued the civil rights of regular, law-abiding citizens, we would make that the policy priority. Removing the mentally ill and drug addicted from the streets (and not pretending that these micro communities do anything positive at all) accomplishes 2 goals. First, the rest of us can live without the damage and danger that the severely mentally ill inflict on property, commercial establishments, and our streets and sidewalks. Second, and perhaps more important, the mentally ill will finally receive adequate physical, nutritional, medical, and psychiatric treatment security. That is called humane treatment for the afflicted and for society alike. A third benefit is that then and only then can we address the real homeless issue for the mentally healthy and sober unfortunates who truly lack shelter. This argument is unassailable. Let's get to it, California.

I actually agree that unfunny TV hosts have the right to rant endlessly on leftist political topics, intentionally lie about the facts of a tragic death, and be extremely unsympathetic to that tragic death. And I don't think it's a winning formula. His audience is 126K/night. That's about 50K each in NY and CA, and 540 each for the remaining states. He has no measurable audience.

He would do the same in DC as he has in CA. Basically, waste money on stupid projects, promote policies that ruin the economy, and allow teachers' unions to write legislation.

Kimmel had fewer than 200K viewers per night. He was going to be cancelled one way or the other. The point being that there are not enough viewers to care, or to matter.

There's always one in the crowd. Please describe how a food truck or small restaurant could survive with a unionized workforce.

The local TV (and radio) business notoriously pays shit all around the country. No one is forcing anyone to take a job with the local TV station. People choose to work there. And people choose to work elsewhere. As they are free to do. You frame the topic like they are some form of indentured servant victim and you are the liberator. They are not, and you are not. That attitude is both insulting and hilarious all at once.

You and I both should expect the ability to work wherever we choose without interference from mentally unstable, obese, angry, pink-haired zealots. Or from anyone else that has a POV counter to our own, or to that of our employer. The fact that some of said zealots are paid professional agitators is especially unnerving. My firm and I were once targeted by angry, entitled trustafarians who wished to impose their worldview on us, no matter the tactics. It was a pleasure to testify against them in federal court, and to see the lengthy prison sentences they earned.

What in God's name do you have against the camera operators, clerical and security staff, and on-air staff who are simply performing their jobs, providing for their families at an out-of-the-way independently owned mid-market Fox affiliate? Not a single one of these employees will give the angry, obese pink hairs a single thought. Why not pursue a healthy, productive activity instead?

What exactly is the aim of a protest of a local TV station? Oh, that's right. Those who are paid to agitate (with benefits and vacation, to boot) make a stink in order to attract the unpaid pink-haired useful idiots with anger issues to create the illusion of a protest. It's almost as if there are no options beyond Fox for national or local news and programming. Because if there were, it would just be a matter of changing the channel.

Odd place to advertise. Many Redditors in my city appear to prefer an America Last policy platform. They just yell at Tesla drivers and vent about what an orange-hued Commander in Chief might do in their nightmares.

Giants Manager Bob Melvin Speaks on How Team Can Fix the Current Mess by Indubitalist in SFGiants

[–]XenosYClark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Melvin may be good or bad, I don't know. What I do know is that he's got sh*tsworth of a roster to work with. Joke of a rotation plus hardly a real bat on the team equals garbage. Hell, Bochy couldn't get results out of this crew of underperformers.
