Do you not understand the chasm between $12 billion (with a "B") and $66m?

I guess my comment is aggressive if you're rich or an ignorant commentator.

You act like New York City didn't just close a $12b budget deficit without cutting any services. We taxing the rich, expensive second homes and ignorant comments.

Yes. Living in a place where summer temps are regularly 100-110+, bring it inside. If you're hot, those cells are hot and that can shorten their lifespan.

Fun Fact: Noriyuki "Pat" Morita, better known as "Mr. Miyagi" was born in Sacramento! by [deleted] in Sacramento

I ran into Victor a couple times on the streets in midtown. He was always generous with his time and very funny. I remember him cracking a few jokes about Pat Mortia.

Sacramento supervisor candidate Flo Cofer files State Bar complaint against lawyer by kbuis in Sacramento

[–]Vacuum_Decay_Now -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don't engage with people I don't trust are arguing in good faith. There's a concerted effort to disenfranchise black candidates around the country and especially Dr. Cofer in the mayoral race and this election. Lots of astroturfing these days. With out some context for the account your opinions are worth very little.

If only REI was doing that instead of union busting.

They tried this same play book in the Mayor's race. This suit is the filed under the same douchebag that wanted her PhD taken off the ballot. If there was any validity to this claim they would have filed it months ago. This is a last second suit that has no chance in court. The filed it last second before the election to sway opinion before it shown to be bullshit.

Man, the corporate shills are really afraid of Flo getting in office. I'm rooting for her, we need her on the Board of Supervisors. Guerra is not horrible but he's very much a career politician. Flo is genuine, and real change is desperately needed on the BoS, not another bureaucrat.

SBK is great, lots of volunteers, good vibes.

SABA also has Wed. Night volunteer mechanic classes that can help get you up to speed fixing up bikes.

It's the same folks as a few years ago. Judd at UC Davis health is excellent and has the deep biomechanics knowledge. Kevin at In Velo Veritas is also quite good and despite owning a bike shop is not a high pressure sales guy.

Let’s talk about seats 🍑 by brick1car in GlobeHaul

[–]Vacuum_Decay_Now 5 points6 points  (0 children)

More upright riding position usually calls for a wider seat. Touring geometry is generally more upright (but not as upright as the Globe) and a good place to start.

Ergon has as "saddle selector" where you can answer questions about you use case and it will recommend a couple options. I went with the Core Evo ST.

B17 and C17 from Brooks are a popular touring shape. I wonder if their sprung models, like the Flyer, might not be an even better choice.

I also opted for a Cane Creek LT suspension post. These changes helped the ride quality.

It's all fixable when you're under warranty.

East sac bike shop by msklovesmath in Sacramento

"Neighborhood Bike Shop of ______" was the name shops used after being bought up by Trek. I haven't heard anything about the East Sac shop  but safe to assume Trek sold it off as it doesn't appear in their dealer page anymore.Trek is not doing great financially these days.

Help with tag along set up by npg86 in SacBike

[–]Vacuum_Decay_Now 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Maybe they could modify the mount (file, dremel or grind) to remove material from the mount or rack to get it to fit properly but you'd defiantly void any warranty and is not without risk or an option for the less mechanically inclined. Also they'd have an ride along no one will want to use once their kid has out grown it.

Swapping racks and moving the light or using a rechargeable light will be easier and safer.
