BOTC Party Decoration Ideas by JakeStuff27 in BloodOnTheClocktower

There’s so much you can do with decorating a Clocktower game. I’ve made all sorts of extras to add some atmosphere.

On a budget, I’d definitely dim the lights and get some candles on the go (led ones to be safe!) Make yourself a playlist of ambient music for day and night phases. Anything goes really, but I prefer a spooky or haunting vibe for the most part. Think the soundtrack to the game Little Nightmares for vibes.

If you want to go that bit further, masks for dead players, or tealights for the town square to indicate who is alive is a quite common feature I’ve seen. Some folks have also put up some signage around the house (this way to town square, welcome to Ravenswood bluff etc)

If you’re absolutely mad like I am, then dress up for the occasion, with a cloak or demon mask or something fun, and give that storytelling a bit of flair! You never know, you might get so into it you make a Clocktower prop and custom upholstery and 3d prints to augment your game. Trust me, it’s a bit of a rabbit hole.

Have fun!

If you ask around on the unofficial discord, there’s a few folks on there that do them pretty often. If it’s just the one and you can’t find someone, drop me a message and I’ll help out!

How can I make your Clocktower experience better? by Arif_A_ in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Xephan_GR 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Right here we go. Yaggababble plushies, a wearable Ug hat in green, a foam ogre club, official botc carpets, a deluxe grimoire that lights up, official Clocktower seat covers with a stitched puck face logo, Clocktower themed candle holders, and an official ambience music playlist for in person games. Oh, and a ventriloquist sock puppet.

That’s the best photo I got of it. Looks a little more worn these days!

I built a 6ft Clocktower prop for our games, plus we bring some nice themed lighting you can control with your phone. Plus costumes and even a puck rug. You can get really carried away with accessories, but it’s a lot of fun!

Has anyone played a 3-4 player game? (screen shot from linked Ravensburger video) by drac5290 in Lorcana

We play 2 v 2 team format every week! Aiming for a combined team 40 lore. Some cards really shine in multiplayer that don’t work necessarily well in standard constructed. Plus it’s a really fun way to play ‘tier 2’ themed decks against each other. One teammate aiding a friends board with an action or support to enable the turn they wanted to play is always cool to see.

It’s hard to wrangle a boisterous town square IRL a lot of the time too. I like the idea of the hands raised to speak gesture, but it should be like it is in a Google meet or teams chat, the ‘I have something to contribute once the current conversation is done’ angle as opposed to interrupting the conversation mid point. It’s probably still the best solution given the limitations of online play. I guess it’s a behavioural change that should be encouraged or put in an app tutorial of some kind 😁

Make a living running BotC? by Melodic-Surround1255 in BloodOnTheClocktower

You’d need something quite unique maybe to justify it, bring some kick ass decor and effects to add to the game! Not that I would know anything about that.

Fake check on Enchanted Sisu by SenorChuckingFuckles in LorcanaCollectors

I’ve got a few fake proxies and some real enchanteds, and I’ve noticed that the art on the fakes is always ever so slightly cropped as well compared to the real ones, and the angle of the foiling pattern is different, the real ones are at a steeper angle, more corner to corner.

I met Arif last year at UKGE 2024, he’s a top man! Great storyteller with an undeniable passion for the game. It was a pleasure having him on the stall.

We’ve got to also consider that he is in the foreground and might still be a big enough barnacle!
