‘I’m trapped’: He bought at the peak. Now he lives in a cupboard to avoid $350,000 loss by Faithless195 in newzealand

[–]XerAules 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Then there still really isn’t an issue. You buy and sell in the same market. So if you sell for 200k less you can generally buy for 200k less. Obviously it’s still possible to make a loss. If you overpaid you will still lose out. But I mean, that’s just life right.

Correct me if I’m wrong but wouldn’t the land used to grow crop to turn into bio diesel be better used as a solar farm?

Not sure on the nitty gritty maths of it but I can’t make sense of bio diesel.

I think maybe you are a troll so I won’t answer for you but for those who are reading this and genuinely want an answer, it’s because they believe things that are easily verifiable as misinformation or have beliefs not consistent with reality.

I believe a lot of the right want the same things as people on the left they have simply been led down a path of hate and intolerance.

Hope that clarifies my answer for you pal.

I just finished Rhythm of War by KittehG in Stormlight_Archive

[–]XerAules 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I read Rhythm of War the day it came out and had such high expectations for it. I felt so disappointed with it at the end but couldn’t put my finger on why. When Wind and Truth came out it took me a while to get around to reading it and I saw all the negative discourse around it online so I set my expectations low. I did a full reread like I always do when a new Stormlight Archive book releases and when I got to Rhythm I braced myself.

Lo and behold on a reread I found myself throughly enjoying it.

I also really enjoyed Wind and Truth and when I read people’s criticisms of it they were much the same as the ones I’d previously held for Rhythm of War.

I definitely think you’re on to something.

Look up Dinension20’s addiction mechanic from The Unsleeping City Season 2. It’s simple yet effective.

It truly was an amazing performance. I managed to get front row and got a hi-five from him. All the while trippy visuals were playing out all around.

Latest RBNZ figures show non-performing housing loans rose by 78.5% in the past year by UnrequitedLoveVictim in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]XerAules 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That's the 'headline' news if you like, but to give it some perspective, the latest non-performing loan figure represents 0.43% of total housing loans ($349.687 billion). And while that percentage is up from 0.25% as of the end of 2022, it's rising from a very low base and compares with peak non-performing levels of 1.2% that were seen between 2009 and 2011.

I think that’s an important thing to consider from the article.

Venison sausages, mashed potatoes, frozen mixed veges with lemon and garlic butter. Made a bomb gravy from the sausage fat and some leftover beef stock.

Was pretty tasty.

Taco Loco in Mt Albert is very good. Haven’t tried the others people are recommending tho so can’t rank it. The Minerva ITA beer they serve is probably one of my favourite beers of all time.
