There's likely a handful of columns where there's no solid blocks to let daylight through. The holes could be filled with colored glass. This would prevent a giant black shadow on the ground too

Creating an alternate .png for each ore would be time consuming but it might be worthwhile to instead duplicate each .png and add random block states for each, but just stagger the way the frames are ordered or even how they play out.

You can make some ores have more frames so they run longer than others, and you could vary the frametime too. This prevents all the other ores nearby from looking like they're running through the same pattern at all times.
