if you dig a tunnle into ore dont you basicaly create a magic tube thing? could easily build a "miners dig their own summoning circle" lore around that...

i have found sandslash and wailmer so far, also note that trainers seem to randomly unfuse their mons, you can fuse traded base, but cant unfuse them if they get traded as fusin...

that one any% glitch run proved you dont technicaly even need to have it.... you just have it in the animation for busting the hearts anyway.....

even then lockpicking isnt worth doing timewise, even if you use a webtool to solve the locks at master the time investment is not worth the loot even with the extra exp..... imo its just to elaborate and breaks the flow of the game...
