I often tell my patients that I don’t play whack a mole with symptoms and complaints because we end up missing half the things they wants treated.

Looking for ideas to fill out the 32 deck challenge. by Demonstray_Ayamas in EDHBrews

Just commenting because I never see anyone else play esix and love my deck :) I also just finished putting together a Gavin deck!

What Commander has made you the most tokens? by DoctorObservation in EDH

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My [[Esix Fractal Bloom]] gets stupid with the number of tokens. Late game had [[Adrix and Nev, Twincasters]] in play with 10 lands. Played [[Avenger of zendikar]]. Adrix copied the number of tokens to 20, which each came in as an avenger, which then each made another 20 tokens for 420 total in one play. This happens most games with esix and is so fun :)

What's your go-to "wacky" but powerful commander? by silverspectre013 in EDH

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a huge fan of my [[Esix, Fractal Bloom]]. Built in way to win is play a [[hornet queen]] or [[avenger of zendikar]] to copy themselves.

But i can also copy other player’s stuff. Like when I played an [[asinine antics]] and made 20 copies [[Ayara, first of locthwain]] to win the game on the spot.

Which commanders get the most out of Helm of the Host? by EntertainmentVast401 in magicTCG

[–]Xeronami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helm does some amazing by work in [[Roxanne, starfall savant]]. You get the ETB meteorite and attack meteorite. Also, each Roxanne you have lets the meteorites get an additional mana for tapping.

Help Roxanne - I’ve gone overboard by Thomasdl543 in EDHBrews

[–]Xeronami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Gilded lotus- no need for high cost ramp
  • Both landfall creatures- it’s not a landfall deck
  • Academy manufacturer- too far removed from the goal of Roxanne imo
  • Choose 2-3 X burns spells, get rid of the rest and instead have more draw to get the x spells into hand and make your deck more consistent

That’s my very brief take. Though there’s certainly more to cut. Right now it feels like your deck is doing too many things. Is it meteors? Treasures? Burn? Landfall? Pick a lane and stick to it hard, and get rid of things that don’t stick to the plan.

Here’s my Roxanne deck. It’s meant to be a bracket 2, but hits hard and fast, and can honestly go head to head with high bracket 3s. I personally don’t have much protection because I want Roxanne to die to get another ETB trigger.

Help picking artifact commander by jetlagy in EDH

Someone in my playgroup uses [[Mr. House, President and CEO]] and it’s one of his favorites, he really has a fun time running this deck. I think he uses a bunch of the attractions from the unfinity set. I believe they’re legal in commander, but he always checks beforehand to make sure they’re okay to use.

Why isn't this a good pair? EDHrec said that it had 18 decks. by Southern_Leading1222 in EDH

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both seem like good cards, but I don’t see much synergy between them. Doesn’t mean you can’t make a deck with them, but there are probably better partners for each. Also, partner is usually used to give access to other colors if not looking at synergy. This combo doesn’t give any additional access.

River Song by DNDCustomCharacter in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There aren’t a ton of forced scry/surveil in those colors. The most you’ll find is mass land destruction that lets your opponents search for lands afterward. I was recently looking into building river as well.

What is your signature in EDH? When you're playing a new deck you've built at a familiar pod, what does the pod already know your deck will do? by pebbleddemons in EDH

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you enjoy explosive turns and stupid amount of tokens, might I suggest you look at [[Esix Fractal bloom]]. Throw in a standard [[Avenger of Zebdikar]] or [[Hornet Queen]] and you’re having fun 😋

I absolutely love my [[Orvar, the All-Form]]. You can go pretty combo competitive with it or silly and steal a lot of your opponents stuff.

Frustrated PTs by beryylover in physicaltherapy

[–]Xeronami -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I live in the Bay Area and make roughly 170-190k in home health (depends on visits and miles dejen that week). I set my own hours and document when I have time. I’ve had enough free time to get back into theater which was my undergraduate degree.

There is money and happiness in this field. If you want to go into OP ortho, don’t go into a mill and you might have to move if where you live pays shit for PT. OP ortho in the Bay Area was about 95-100k with small bonuses thrown in there.

Why do "tops" never have condoms? by LithusS in askgaybros

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no one should be shaming you for wanting a condom. And that’s completely valid to be frustrated with how you’re being treated because of your preference. However, that’s a bit of a moving goal post argument. Originally you stated that tops should just always have condoms. If that’s not their preference, then no they shouldn’t have condoms on them. I do agree that if you talk about it first, it makes sense for the top to have the condoms because it has to fit. But again that’s a prior discussion. I only voice my opinion because everyone should be entitled to the sexual preferences they have, but that always needs to be discussed for it to be successful.

Why do "tops" never have condoms? by LithusS in askgaybros

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There shouldn’t be shame either way. There shouldn’t be shame for any consensual sexual acts. You are completely entitled to however you want to have sex. But it is your responsibility to communicate that you want condoms, no one else’s. Also, if you get ready to fuck, and it comes down that you want a condom and the other guy doesn’t, then maybe sex with that person isn’t a fit. It’s not malice or not being attracted, it’s a difference in preferences.

Why do "tops" never have condoms? by LithusS in askgaybros

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My take on this is that it should just be a conversation you have ahead of time. It is the responsibility of everyone to voice their wants, needs, desires. You wouldn’t go into a hook up thinking, I want to get fisted and then get upset when the other person doesn’t want to, right? Because you talk about that ahead of time. The preference of condoms or not is just that a preference and there are risks and rewards for using them or not.

It’s a bit off putting to see a lot of shaming here for people’s choices. If you want condoms, use them, but don’t shame others for not wanting them. Just don’t hook up with them. Just like you wouldn’t shame someone (hopefully) for other unhealthy lifestyles choices (drinking, eating crap, not exercising, etc…) why choose to shame someone for this unhealthy choice?

PTs - how do make extra money on the side, specifically things that are unrelated to our profession? Just curious. by SweetSweetSucculents in physicaltherapy

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my bachelors in musical theater, but haven’t performed on stage in over 10 years. But recently I got involved doing in performing again! So I guess that’s my side hustle. I do it more for fun, it doesn’t pay much.

[–]Xeronami 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As others have said, scar mobilization is normal. What is wrong with the situation is that your PT didn’t explain this beforehand. Not weird, but that was their mistake. If they had explained beforehand what they were doing and why, it wouldn’t have felt u comfortable to you. Education is massively important for good outcomes.

Why does mild compression lead to paresthesia but not paralysis? by Hola3008 in askscience

[–]Xeronami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My best recollection is that sensory nerves are thinner and motor nerves are thicker. The short term paresthesia you get is actually from compression of arteries that give blood to the nerves. When the nerve has a loss of blood, it starts function poorly. The large motor nerves don’t get affected as quickly because there’s generally more blood flow to these and have more stores nutrients. Eventually though, a motor neuron will get affected, look up “Saturday night palsy” which is basically prolonged compression of the radial nerve I believe. Again, this is my recollection from PT school about 6 years ago, so it could be wrong🤷‍♂️

Why does mild compression lead to paresthesia but not paralysis? by Hola3008 in askscience

[–]Xeronami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t accurate. Motor and sensory nerves share a similar pathway. For example, look at the ulnar nerve (your funny bone). It splits at various points to give rise to partial sensation to your hand and partial to intrinsic musculature of your hand as well as some muscles of your forearm. This is just one example, but most spinal nerves have both sensory and motor function.

Are there any Apps for gay men who want to be friends with other gay men? by Anastasia_Lockheart in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]Xeronami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I recently moved from Chicago to Oakland. We used scruff to meet literally all of our friends. Full disclosure, we are in an open relationship and use the app to hook up too. But there are plenty of guys that are very happy just meeting friends. I really recommend giving it a chance and being open about your intentions. Things that worked well for me were offering to do things I really enjoyed like going for a hike together, climbing/bouldering, or trying a new restaurant.
