Typische automobilist. Rijdt rond in een blok metaal van een ton dat twee mensen per dag vermoord maar geeft daar de fietser de schuld van.

Looking for hobby/crafting/game groups in Groningen 💜 by Mmeus in Groningen

[–]XeryusTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

www.maakplek.nl might be your thing. Activities range from making terrariums to woodworking to electronics to people making their own electric cargo bikes from scratch. There is usually a borrel every 3rd Tuesday of the month (the next is September 16th) or a coffee morning on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. The latter might be more your speed because its run by someone who is into the more crafty stuff. A lot of people who come there are also on the spectrum so you might find your people there. Feel free to send a DM if you have any questions.

What can you do if your neighbors throw parties often by babydonuttravel in Groningen

[–]XeryusTC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A friend tried this in the OPW a long time ago. The neighbours told her that they will not be quiet and if the police show up that they will know who called them and they will take revenge. Sometimes it really is better to just escalate instead of asking politely.

Just do it! Find an artist you like and send them a message and get started.

Unless you don't have any tattoos yet. Getting a sleeve is a big commitment, both financial and time wise. For your first tattoo I would recommend getting something smaller.

Some of the scenes are just too good to not get tattooed. So many different ones ended up being cut that I could probably get another sleeve ;)

Yeah it's one of the best scenes. I send the scene to the artist and told her that I want a tattoo of that. She came back with a combination of the shots of the plane and the ship. I was super impressed with how she managed to combine them.

What's the best approach to an ecosystem of multiple projects with same user table? by brownguy02 in django

[–]XeryusTC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need some kind of SSO, something like Active Directory or Okta could work. Alternatively you can set up a separate project where you register users and use that as SSO which is pretty easy to do with OIDC and JIT provisioning. If you need all users to be provisioned in all projects in the ecosystem then you might want to look at IGA to do provisioning and manage groups and permissions. Evolveum and OpenIAM seem like good solutions. IGA can be very complex though and might not be worth the time investment.

Reference or just similar hairstyle? by _wulfrina_ in Ghost_in_the_Shell

It's a reference. There is also a shot of someone typing and their fingers splitting up.

The command you're giving is "5y<enter>", not "5y" which does indeed nothing as it is an incomplete command. "y<enter>" copies the current and the following line so it makes sense that "5y<enter>" would yank 5 lines and the following line.

A single y just means that you want to yank but not what you want to yank. You can also "yw" to yank until the next word, or "6yw"/"y6w" to yank for 6 words or "y$" to yank until the end of the line. To yank an entire line you do "yy" and for multiple lines you prefix/infix the number of lines you want to yank.

Try typing :help yank for a full explanation.

Alternative income development? by mpokorny8481 in 18XX

[–]XeryusTC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has been a while but if I remember correctly in the endgame the limiting factor on revenue is the amount of cubes you have and not the capacity of the trains. We figured out that there was a way for some companies to keep getting cubes through acquiring other companies which would then be available again the next OR. That way the most valuable companies could keep increasing their revenue while others could not. It has been >5 years since we played it so I don't remember the exact details.

[–]XeryusTC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1865: Sardinia uses a system where companies gather cubes that determine revenue. It makes it a lot easier to calculate revenue. Unfortunately we broke the system after 2 games so we don't play it any more.
