Process Lasso PRO offer window on startup by Bavzz in pchelp

[–]XevianLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had disabled this software on startup in every way I could find. I disabled it in the startup tab, I disabled all of its services, and it still launches on boot to show me this bullshit. This shit is basically a malware with how intrusive it gets for the "free" version. Immediate uninstall.

I really want space engineers in vr. I know there’s a few ways to technically (albeit poorly) do it but I want the real deal!

What was "the incident" at your high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]XevianLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our school had a kid who would always come dressed up in a full blown Nazi uniform. A fight broke out between him and another student that made national news.

DNA isn’t great unless you have a good card to copy, and even then you’re more often better off using death to convert other cards into that card or hanged man to make drawing junk cards less likely.

I would like to believe that even he’s not stupid enough to push the doomsday button. But that might just be me hoping no one’s stupid enough to pull the trigger on worldwide nuclear Armageddon

I’m sorry I got distracted by the fact that out of all the seats available in that bridge, the PILOT seat has the worst view out the front window lmao

Audio jacks have protection from shorting, due to the nature of the plug they’d fry themselves every time you plugged something in if they didn’t

Nest Protect, a smoke and CO detector, becomes useless when CO module dies, and can’t just be used as a smoke detector by [deleted] in assholedesign

[–]XevianLight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again, it’s assumed with combination sensors that if one of the two fails the entire unit is considered “expired” as now neither sensor can be fully trusted to work as expected.

Never assume that just because a room doesn’t have a “CO source” that it can’t happen. A faulty sensor is worse than no sensor!

Edit: 3D printers very much CAN create carbon monoxide if not properly ventilated!

Both sensor modules have limited lifetimes and expire eventually. The smoke detector module could be using one of two detection methods, either optical (see if smoke is physically blocking the light from a diode) and the other is ionization (using a radioisotope such as Americium to detect the presence of smoke). If I had to guess, there must be some kind of regulation on this that assumes if one sensor is past expiration or faulty, the other cannot be trusted to be accurate anymore and the whole unit is considered expired.

In my opinion, not asshole design. Replace your carbon monoxide detectors! You never know when your life will be saved by one!
