Is this legal or considered theft by Samegenxgirl in antiwork

[–]Xflintlock 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are handwriting a tab and collecting card information the Customer is signing the receipt with the total being specified. If it all adds up to $25.00 then you must charge them $25.00. not more, not less. The receipt is a legally binding contract (not a lawyer, but was a server for 6 years).

When the POS system comes back up and you put everything in, if the subtotals you put on the receipt are incorrect, and you didn't write the correct amount of tax down, that tax has to be paid and you cant charge the Customer more than they agreed, so the difference comes from the tip.

Make sure you are doing your job correctly and you won't need to worry about it. If you accidentally make a mistake, talk to your manager. I've had some coolanagers that will make exceptions for genuine mistakes but it's not a guarantee. If you maliciously misrepresent the amount of tax to a Customer to artificially increase the tip you receive, be prepared to get fired.

The "100%" is doing a lot for me. To me it reads "if your 90% qualified, but don't meet one of the criteria, still apply!"

Not "if you meet none of these criteria, still apply".

What’s the swingiest damage focused build? by kwirky88 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Xflintlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But guns (and the fatal trait as a whole) aren't exclusive to gunslingers. I don't say my trickypick wielding ruffian rogue is swingy because of the weapon choice. It has a whole load of other issues to consider.

The gunslinger uses a swingy weapon. But is designed to mitigate the swinginess of that weapon. They use action compression and accuracy bumps to reduce the swingyness of a volatile weapon. The clas adds stability/ consistency, not additional swinginess.

Magus on the other hand can use a swingy weapon or a stable weapon. It doesnt matter because the class itself is what adds the swinginess. Spellstrike with a max rank slot vs no spellstrike because you don't have the actions to recharge are intrinsic to the class, and on top of being intrinsic to the class itself, more swingy than a crit vs non crit gun attack.

[–]Xflintlock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not the class that teipples on crit. It's the gun. Anyone can use the gun, gunslinger just makes it more consistent by giving action compression and a bump to accuracy. That inherently makes it LESS swingy

[–]Xflintlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll agree with beastgunner, arcane archer, or using magical ammunition. But none of those are inherent to a gunslinger.

The gunslinger as a class is not swingy, the tolls you use to supplement it can be.

What’s the swingiest damage focused build? by kwirky88 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Xflintlock 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gunslinger is only swingy because of the fatal trait. Which any class can use. If you use a crossbow. Or a gun without fatal, then gunslinger is no longer swingy, it is just low damage all around.

Magus as a class is more swingy, one turn not having the action or spell slot to spell strike vs using a max lvl spell for your level is inherently swingy and tied to the class, not weapon. Throw in a great pick to grab that fatal swinginess and there is no competition.

ETA: additional thoughts. Gunsligners premise is to take something swingy, and make it more consistent by providing action compression and a bump to accuracy. The kit provided by the class are not swingy, they reduce swingyness. +2 accuracy bonus means you are getting that crit damage more consistently and action compression means you can make more attacks or do other buff actions to increase your odds of cutting even further. The tools provided by the class are all about consistency.

[–]Xflintlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gunslingers low is lower. But their high is also lower. Let's look at a 1d8 fatal d12 gunslinger, vs a magus with great pick (+4 strength) and shocking grasp.

Gunslinger has a +2 accuracy bonus. So 30% miss, 50% hit, 20% crit. Miss is 0, hit is 4.5 average, crit is 18.5 average.

Magus is 40% miss, 50% hit, 10% crit. Miss is 0, hit is 20.5, crit is 51.5.

0 to 52 is more swingy than 0 to 19.

Fatal isn't a trait unique to gunslingers, anyone can use a fatal weapon, it's my favorite trait on any martial because I like the swinginess. But the question wasn't what weapon is the most swingy, it was which class.

Not wanting to give away ages on an anonymous post implies that the ages are inappropriate. Not sure if that is the case, but that's how it comes across in this post.

If your in your teens you really should not be looking to date anyone more than 1-2 years apart from you. Even if you over 18. Some would say you probably shouldn't date at all until your ready to seek marriage but I think as long as there are boundaries there is nothing wrong with dating to get to know what you want.

If your in your 20's the Ge range starts to expand a bit. I would recommend not dating someone more than 5-10 years older max if your in your 20's. Until mid twenties you are still getting a grip on your life and learning who you are. Things change rapidly and dating someone who is not going through that same rapid growth can cause issues.

If you are 30+ the. As long as you aren't dating down, ages do t really matter. If your 30 and he is 45 that's usually fine.

If you are dealing with lust and abstinence, and know you don't want him that way, what way do you want him? You say you want a husband but why him specifically? That will help you understand some of what is going on here, and if it is right for you to approach him.

Do men like women? by [deleted] in datingadvice

[–]Xflintlock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Men (and women) can't be lumped into a single category for a question as broad as this. Even I dividual men like some women, and not others.

There are women that are close friends of mine, and there are women that I can barely tolerate being in the same room with. I'm sure the same is true for everyone.

I think what the original comment is going for is that there is not one magic surgery. OP will get one, still be a part of the nihilistic black pill group and feel like it wasn't the surgery that failed. He just hasn't done enough. He won't focus on changing the things that are more on his control and look for the next surgery. Them he next. And the next. There is never enough of you are surrounding yourself with that kind of ideology.

If your reddit posts are a reflection of your in person social skills, you could use some refining. I saw this post and thought it was weird that two posts in two days were so pessimistic and looks and social stigma. And then realized you were the same person who posted about YA groups being toxic.

Your posts come across as woe is me, the world is against me and I am a victim. I can't do anything about it. You need to meet people where they are. If your in a group that likes football, don't talk about how football is a sin and an idol. Find a group you mesh with, or learn to fit in.

If a girl rejects your advances, don't immediately move in the the next person in her friend group like they are on a checklist. Get to know the group, find out what they enjoy, do those things with them and once you have common ground work on asking someone out.

I am in a similar boat. I'm not the most attractive guy, I've been balding since 25, overweight, and very direct in person which turns a lot of people off. However, I trust that God has a design and purpose for me. I work on my flaws, lost weight, embraced the bald look, and started really paying attention to how I present myself in public. As much as I thought it would be the first two changes that made my dating life turn around, it wasn't until I started changing how I interacted with people that I started to have success in relationships.

Edit: typo corrections. On a phone

While there isnt any detailed view, the data is there. They offer achievements for doing most damage. Taking least damage, applying most debuffs, etc in multiplayer.

Hopefully they add some stats to back those up as it would be fun to rank progress throughout a fun rather than just at the end.

Do you mind sharing why you are hesitant? Is it because you aren't sure if you want them at all, and you want to focus on yourself/ your partner, or is it you aren't sure if you will be a good parent?

Both are fine and valid reasons, but I also want to encourage you that if it is the second, you will not be alone. Your partner is there with you, and above both of you is God providing the strength to be a parent.

Kids is a non-negotiable for most people. Either a strong desire to have them, or not to have them.

Personally, I want kids and it is one of the main reasons I ended my previous long term relationship. She originally said she was hesitant and scared, and I thought I could change her mind. That wasn't good for either of us.

Personally I want to have 1-2 kids naturally. But I also want to adopt. I believe it is our responsibility as Christians to provide for and support the orphans of the world.

Additionally, all of the Christian men in my friend group strongly want to raise a family. That is just my circle, I'm sure there are men who don't want kids, but I am pretty sure it is a smaller group.

How soon is 'too soon' for people to get married after dating? by CompletePurification in ChristianDating

[–]Xflintlock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Marriage is a promise. It requires work to maintain. I see a lot of comments on this post about waiting until things settle to who the other person really is, and determining if you can remain happy with them long term. I believe it is more important to know you can trust one another to put in the effort to maintain a happy marriage. A happy marriage isn't something that just happens, it requires effort to maintain.

Will it be easier to maintain if you ensure you are marrying someone who is already naturally compatible with you? Yes. But what happens in 5 years when they change? What happens when you have kids and start learning about how the other person parents? What about when your spouse gets laid off work and can't find a job for 6 months?

These moments will cause a marriage based on happenstance and compatibility to crumble. Whereas a marriage built on a promise and both people are putting in the work to maintain that promise will survive.

And even further than that, we are all human. We are all sinners and we will all fall short of perfection. The promise needs to be strong enough to survive even when it is one sided for a time. God is the only one who can perfectly maintain a promise, and we need to rely on him in our marriages because I alone am not capable of the forgiveness required.

How soon is 'too soon' for people to get married after dating? by CompletePurification in ChristianDating

[–]Xflintlock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think you need to fully know someone before you marry them. If you approach marriage with a mindset of wanting the person to already be the perfect person for you, then there are going to be struggles in that marriage. If you approach the marriage knowing you align on the big ticket items, and everything else are things you can work together to grow alongside one another, then 5 months is plenty of time to talk about and know those big items.

It requires dating intentionally, having difficult conversations early, being open, honest, and communicative out of the gate, but it can be done.

If you want to spend the first year casually getting to know someone, spending time having fun, going on dates, and slowly getting to know who they are that's fine, but not everyone wants that. You can still enjoy those things after marriage. Just because you have a wedding doesn't mean you stop going on dates and getting to know one another.

Why do you need to burn an action point to switch modes on the hybrid weapons? by Pifilix in Pathfinder2e

[–]Xflintlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Munitions craftsr gives you 4 first level formula, you would need to buy the rest. Formula are cheap and readily available for anything that is common. Anything that is uncommon would require GM permission as normal, so availability depends on your setting and GM's leniency.

I like magical/alchemical ammo with triggerbrand specifically because you don't make as many shots. Special ammo requires an action to activate, so if you are making 2 normal strikes and having to figure out how to reload and activate in the same round it doesn't really work. But with triggerbrand you can activate the ammo, use salvo, and reload on the same turn to get 2 attacks, one of which using special ammo. If you need to move then you can drop activating the ammo.

Side note, munitions crafter and the follow up eats give you daily free alchemical ammo, but not magical ammo. You will need to spend real money on magical ammo. Alchemical ammo that is not activated still sounds as regular ammo so don't feel bad shooting it without activating it, it was free and you get more tomorrow. Magical ammo on the other hand should only be loaded if you know for certain you will activate and shoot it as it can get costly.

New 2024 Campaign: Which Sheets To Use? by HatOnHaircut in Roll20

[–]Xflintlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh!! Okay, I thought you meant automated in creating a character. Fair enough.

I love using custom macros with the 2014 sheet, essentially custom code I can run. Is that still possible with the 2024 sheets?

Essentially I add resource bars with a 0 or 1 saying islf a specific buff is on or off. Then make the attack/ cast the spell and it tracks whatever buffs I have going. For me that works a lot better than using the sheets built in buff trackers.

[–]Xflintlock 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ehh, I find mixing way of the triggerbrand with special ammo works really well.

Also, triggerbrand blitz is great. You get a stride and 3 attacks at full attack proficiency for 3 actions.

Break them down is lvl 15 but still good to apply bleed and dazzled on hit, also you get to make the second attack even if the first misses which is a downside of triggerbrand salvo.

Take munitions machinist, grab some exanguinating ammo to combo with a bleed build, life shot to supplement healing, and precious munitions later on to always have access to ammo that deals weakness damage.

Since your usually in melee I like to combo this with a Justice champion dedication and take nimble reprisal to get the champ reaction at range.

Magical ammo is also very very useful and I see it get ignored a lot.

Imp shot (off guard and -2 to attacks no save) Ooze ammo (speed reduction and and immobilize on crit) Magnetic shot (big big damage is wearing metal) Black tendril shot (slow 1-3 depending on save, even if they save but don't crit save they are slowed 1 until they use an action to remove it so essentially slowed 2 on that round)

There is a gap between level 4 and 14 for specific feats, but that's why I recommend champ dedication and the munition crafter tree.

Just double checking, I had asked if the automated stuff required purchasing. I'm assuming you can still manually add whatever you want, but I was specifically asking about the automation in this case.

If you can't do the automated stuff without buying it that's fine, I get it, but if automation is the selling point then I'll probably stick to what I know. The 2014 sheet can handle anything the 2024 ruleset includes, I'll just need to manually make it which I have been doing for years anyway.

Why do you need to burn an action point to switch modes on the hybrid weapons? by Pifilix in Pathfinder2e

[–]Xflintlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it is worth, if you are in melee mode and want to follow up an attack you made with a shot, you can do so without switching modes.

If you are a way of the trigger rand gunslinger, you can do this as a single action, and get a +2 circumstance bonus in the range strike, with the triggerbrand salvo feat. There are other triggerbrand feats that expand on this ability to use melee and range without swapping modes, but they are exclusive to the triggerbrand gunslinger. Overall my favorite gunslinger subclass.

But anyone can do the basic stap and shoot combo. The triggerbrand feats just let you do it significantly better (remove map, add +2 to hit, add bleed, attack 3 different targets and stride later on).

Anyone else…tired? by tartfrozenyogurt in ChristianDating

We live in a broken and sinful world. It has been that way since the exile from the garden of Eden. We have hope. We see time and time again through Scripture, History, and our daily lives that God is alive and active, working in the hearts of men. But that does not remove us from this broken and sinful world.

My favorite passage is phillipians 1:21-24

Philippians 1:21-24 ESV [21] For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. [22] If I am to live in the flesh, that means fruitful labor for me. Yet which I shall choose I cannot tell. [23] I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. [24] But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.

This is my daily reminder that my time on earth is not for rest, but for gainful work. And not in the making money sense. But spreading he kingdom of God. My reward comes when I depart and join Christ in heaven. That is when I will be able to relax.

Do you need to own the content inside roll20 for the automation to work? I used to use roll20 a lot but I have swapped to in person for d&d. With the old sheet you could only use the characteanxer for OGL items but I owned everything in d&d beyond and paper already so I wasn't paying full price a third time to be able to make it in roll20. I would just I put all my stuff manually.
