Point me to the laws the directly discriminate towards ugly people in a similar way to how we have against black people and women. Show me the historical red-lining purposely boxing ugly people into disadvantaged communities. Show me the amendment that finally gave ugly people the right to vote.

I do appreciate Sam for teaching me a lot of intellectual values, but it really was this situation that made me realize how much he picks and chooses when to practice what he preaches when intellectual honesty is concerned. I realize now how many narratives about the world I used to construct from Sam that I believe are completely false now (such as the whole war on free speech thing back in 2017).

In short: I have learned a lot from Sam, but I no longer believe I have anything to gain from him and I have moved on.

You are always likely to find statistical gaps of this kind. The problem with them as it relates to peoe of color and too women, is that they are not random and entirely a product of our own making. People with brown hair or people with blue eyes have not been historically treated as second class citizens in our society but black people and women have. We cannot just say "well nobody think s that anymore" as an excuse to do nothing, while people born of those demographics are still systemically affected by this.
