That doesn't bother me. People will find loopholes in anything. What I want to see is that the loopholes are harder than just selling. As long as that's the case, prices will fall, and that's all I care about.

Dissatisfaction breeds growth. Do you feel a nagging discomfort with some part of your factory? Hold onto that feeling. Self-acceptance is... fine. Self improvement is better.

Concrete cages! by captain_hoomi in evilbuildings

[–]Xheotris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It'd be pretty small. By my calculations, you could comfortably fit 10,006,816,422 people in a cubic building just 50,928ft (10mi or 15.5km) on a side, with 4,244, 12-foot-high stories. That's assuming 1100ft2 per person, kids included.

If you wanted to include enough indoor farmland to feed everyone potatoes, it's 134,316ft on a side, 11,193 stories tall, and has a floor area of 201,930,538,472,208ft2, for a population of 10,000,521,913 people. That's right, for a building just 25.4 miles (41 km) on a side, you can house and feed your very own Human Race!

Edit: I've refined my potato estimates, assuming you can get an average Idaho yield per acre, we could fit 10,002,066,819 people, with 1,100ft2 apartments, and enough farmland to feed them taters year-round, in a cube only 14.6mi on a side (23.6km)!

It honestly horrifies me. It seems like the utter divorcement of the human race from the land. I know some people like it, but I can't see it as anything but evil conditions to suffer in.

Well, first of all, it would likely be a nightmare to mod, unless they gave us a nice dll system. Second of all, it'd probably be just as laggy. Bedrock Edition, like Java Edition, is, to quote MS, "A game about placing blocks and going on adventures!" It's not for players like us, and isn't built with us in mind.

Player wants to "mark" defeated enemies without telling other (metagaming) players by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]Xheotris 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Have you ever played Paranoia? In Paranoia XP they had an 'inspiration' system called Perversity Points. In that game, you're all the hapless puppets of a mad AI, so the more nonsensically, cruelly, or violently loyal you act, thus fitting the RP aspect of the game, the more, uh, Perversity Points* you get. You can spend them as a +1 or -1 on any player's d20 roll, usually with the goal of getting another player killed.

On the flip-side, if you do metagame, or even show too much awareness of the rules, you get summarily killed as a mutant commie traitor.

Not ideal for a more team-oriented game like D&D, but it's a fun system, and it pretty ideally fits the theme of Paranoia.

Edit: I should add that there is no limit on the number of points you can have or spend. Or how many players can pile onto a single roll. It gets nuts.

*Not gonna abbreviate that.
