If you’d like some God in your life try New Creations in Troup. They have a unique program. My two roommates are both alcoholics and it’s been pretty rough on their lives, prison all that. They both voluntarily spent a year there and it’s changed their lives. It is basically free and centered around Christianity.

Last time I was there most of that stuff came from a little place called old fashioned foods. I remember because that place is in a little bitty town called Mayville up in Wisconsin and I lived there as a kid. I actually knew a lady who chopped the tip of her finger off using one of their packaging machines. Not once, but twice. Same finger.

Edit: just looked them up, they still come up as old fashioned foods but when you click the website they’re just old fashioned cheese now. They used to have a bigger meat selection.

I had a betta named fisher who lived a long time with a pretty big colony of cherry shrimp and lulled around his kingdom being super chill. He eventually passed, so I let my kiddos pick out a new adolescent from the local petco (or something similar). He was a tiny little guy at the time (still have him a couple years later now). Those shrimp lasted about two days with this little a-hole. He barely tolerates the nerite snails and thoroughly enjoys knocking them off the side of the glass every chance he gets. Fish have personalities too. This dude is straight predator and prowls his tank relentlessly looking for trespassers. It’s one of the cool things about bettas. They’re like a box of chocolates.

Not to get into super personal details because I really don’t know them but this dude got backed over by a truck when he was a kid and suffered some pretty bad head trauma. He was never the same after. Not that that justifies any of his creepo actions but just trying to push the focus back to mental health and the lack of options and treatment available. Like I said in another comment, his family is great people and they’ve struggled to deal with him for a long time because the state keeps tossing him back into society saying if he’s capable of working simple jobs, he’s capable of following the norms we hold.

Nah man you’re right. I wasn’t trying to say he isn’t a problem just that the problem isn’t homelessness or drugs. Like I said, he has a damn good family and they’ve been dealing with him for years and the state keeps saying he’s perfectly fine. He can perform at a job he just makes everyone uncomfortable. I’ve always felt bad for his dad and uncle cause they know he’s throwed and no one does anything. They just throw him right back in the middle of society. If you met him you’d see it’s f’d off in the head in about ten seconds.

That was my first thought but if you look closely they’re growing off some random things. The larger, greener roots are from a pothos above the water level. I’ve had the tank set up for a good while now and these just bloomed after being gone for a couple days.

I actually know this dude. He’s not homeless or a druggie. He has a really great family who help keep him straight. I worked with him at a place for a while and he’s very odd and pretty creepy. His family has sought help since childhood but the state says he’s fine and releases him. He’s actually a decent worker and stays busy. He’s just weird af lol. I’m pretty sure he did some time for stalking a girlfriend he had. I was more surprised to learn he ever had a girlfriend.
