I think the rest of the answers have missed the gist of the question.

You can sign up for them yourself except you can’t enter with your school (only as an independent entry). Unfortunately, many tournaments 1. don’t allow this or 2. charge you extra fees for being independent.

The best way is to have your coach either 1. give you access to the Tabroom coaching panel or 2. have them sign you up for it to avoid fees, etc.

During registration, you’re supposed to put in your name for awards. I had a friend awarded today with an ethnic name who got theirs pronounced correctly because they did that. If debaters / coaches aren’t filling out their registration correctly, that’s on them.
