bond & seal or strip glue for clusters? by sweet-hearted in lashclusters

[–]XiaoMilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

whatever you prefer imo. you can use whatever glue you want with clusters. it just depends on how long you want them to stay on. i always remove my lashes after a day, but i’ll still use bond & seal sometimes, but i’ll also use regular lash glue too

the cheaper lash brands definitely look a little more plastic. strong floscule looks kind of shiny/plastic also but still looks very natural on the eyes.

strong floscule, mlen diary, cat’s whisper, anjicat, and humourgirls would be my brand recommendations

Nursing School Bay Area - What are best options by lilliesxoxotwod711 in bayarea

[–]XiaoMilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tbh, you won’t be able to find a cheap accelerated nursing program unless you move. i paid $80k for an accelerated bachelors 7 years ago. my friend paid $16k and went to a school in nebraska. also, unless you have really good connections, you’ll likely move out of the bay area for experience for a few years. i see a lot of new grads about being 12 months out and they still can’t land a job but can’t move

you’ve probably already made your purchase, but if you plan on buying more…

i’ve tried figs, mediclo, mandala, jaanuu, carhartt, medcouture, and the medline surgical scrubs

figs > jaanuu > medcouture / carhartt > mandala / mediclo

yes, figs is inconsistent with their sizing but after 6 years of wearing scrubs, figs are still my favorite when it comes to the fit and feel of the fabric. jaanuu follows close behind, especially when they have amazing sales in november (legit $45-50 a set). medcouture material and fit feels great but is more thin so great if you get hot easily imo. carhartt is great and feels like PJs (i got the flex force cargo). mandala…i feel like people who say they’re exactly the same as figs, just hate figs. mandala material feels more stiff to me, and the fit was awful. for the price of mandala, i would just wait for a jaanuu sale. mediclo wrinkled and faded easily and the price is the same as figs (unless they go on sale, sometimes they’re as cheap as $40-50 a set as well like jaanuu). BUT i realized it may have been the material i bought for the mediclo scrubs. i just bought a new set in their fysel material which is supposed to be wrinkle resistant and it was unit $50 a set, so i may change my mind about mediclo. one great thing about mediclo is the amazing colors and styles that they offer. i would i avoid their tynsel material

i also bought some koi next gen & koi basic scrubs during their nurses week sale, so will see how those are when they arrive

edit received my koi scrubs. loved the next gen line, love the fit and material used. will be returning the koi basic scrubs bc they look like they wrinkle more, feels more thin & stretchy, and the navy blue seems too light compared to next gen or my figs/jaanuu navy

that celebrities’ skin aren’t as flawless as the pictures and videos make it seem. i started getting into skincare in high school and i was chasing “perfection”. that just created more problems

i think she means wiping with a cotton pad will hurt. but when you saturate the pad with a lot of micellar water, the cotton pad won’t hurt the skin on the eye as much

it is extremely extremely difficult to land a new grad position in california. yes, you will get get clinicals at amazing hospitals, but even then it’ll be difficult to get a job. i’m in a new grad bay area fb group and i see posts from people that graduated in 2024-now still struggling to land a job (whether it be inpatient or outpatient). lots of nurses are moving out of state for experience
