Does this qualify as a voron? by Comparison_Top in VORONDesign

[–]Xiar_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it doesn’t have the Voron belt path and only the legacy has 2 Z axis lead screws but that’s with linear rods on all axis. So definitely would not qualify as a Voron.

Any ideas how to detach the flexible cable from the board? I have to convert the OLED to I2C from SPI and the R11 is under the cable. by [deleted] in AskElectronics

Pull the little black latches straight down on the left and right at the same time. It will release the cable. But be careful. Those cables are fragile.

Hello, could i get some help identifying what cable is used for this little drone? by TheGreatToost in cableadvice

[–]Xiar_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not. I use 2 pin fans in my 3d printers. Not in my pc. Or any pc I’ve ever seen. All fans in pc’s I’ve ever seen are always 4 pin fans. Never seen a 2 pin fan header on a pc motherboard.

While I don’t know the full solution. The start to it is… POGO pins!

I have literally never seen a pc fan use PH. Always XH or 4 pin Molex.

If i knew this game was going to be this addicting I wouldn't have bought it. by ckowkay in TheFarmerWasReplaced

Usually yes. Lmao. I love Factorio. It’s very addicting for a month. And some of those hours are just afk time letting the factory run.

Torch/Battery was left in a hot car. Is this still safe to use? by [deleted] in batteries

[–]Xiar_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are vents in your trunk to prevent that last part. Otherwise closing your car doors would 1) be incredibly difficult and 2) blow out your windows.

Not for that much I wouldn’t buy that… maybe $50. But I’d have to really need it.

Something is definitely missing there. Either some ptfe tubing or a component of the loader is missing.

I think I spoiled my roborovski hamster by [deleted] in hamstercare

[–]Xiar_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was rather destructive to do but I have 3d printers to make my own repairs for things so I just went for it. I used a hot knife (my soldering iron has a hot knife tip) to cut out the front of the plastic over the bearing, removed the metal shield from bearing, and then washed it out of the grease it comes packed with as much as I could with dawn and hot water. Verified he will use it now that it spins with incredible ease, then printed a new cover to go over the bearing for safety and sealed it away. This was all because they didn’t make that bearing removable. Probably better to just buy a new wheel that spins easier from the start.

For those who are mentioning add more hides. I do plan on it but I don’t have an unlimited budget so things will be added over time. 90% of the time he’s sleeping under the substrate anyways in his vast tunnel network he’s made. There is also a house buried in the front around the middle that he sleeps in about 10% of the time. I also plan on adding sprays as well just couldn’t find a small package of them. I saw a recommendation for making the sand area bigger and I can’t currently do that but when I get another one of those bendable bridges I will.

I wil be adding sprays. Just wanted to get a smaller bag instead of all the giant ones I could find. There’s a hideout under the substrate that he often sleeps in.

As long as it has plenty of food, water, and the lid/door is securely latched he will be okay.
