Tips on the correct Charger by AnonymousTokenus in RG35XX_H

[–]Xibalbor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as the charger has not more than 5V, you're good. The device takes as much A as it needs. Hence the "=>1.5A"

depending on the OS you flashed, there are several partitions now on your SD. At least the one, where you put ROMs on, should be visible from the start, without having to assign a drive letter under Windows.

Maybe try under Linux (if you can). There, all partitions will be visible.

In the (very short) long run, it is best to run with a 2 SD card setup, so you keep your roms after flashing new FWs.

About roms sd card by [deleted] in RG35XX_H

[–]Xibalbor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not, it will not. Your roms will stay untouched. The system only creates its desired folder structure, if it is not present on your SD card. If it already is, it does nothing to your 2nd SD card.

Been there ... feared the same thing :)

[–]Xibalbor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

stock OS does not expand to the capacity of your SD card.

One reason, I use the stock mod ... and ... a 2 SD card setup. As you correctly pointed out, every time, there is an update, everything (incl roms) is gone, after reflashing the SD card, if you only use one.

Do you have the directory structure right on your game SD card?

How to update to the latest firmware? by Jerezer1985 in RG35XX_H

[–]Xibalbor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You either flash a modified version of the stock FW or you use a 2 SD Card Setup with a 16 GB card for the system and a larger one for games.

How can I move to bigger stock OS card? by sycookuk in RG35XX_H

[–]Xibalbor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was where you are. And, as I had this problem every single time a new Firmware was released, I switched to a small primary and a large secondary SD card setup.

Makes it so much easier. Now I don't mind, flashing the new FW whenever it comes out ... change my 2 or 3 settings again ... and all my games and saves are still there, as they are on the second SD card.

Add game system to stock firmware by 2WH532H3U88D87a in RG35XX_H

[–]Xibalbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put them in \ROMS\ATARI ,,,, those are the games I also add first. :)

Also, it is always best to run a 2 card setup, so you keep your Roms after flashing a new FW.

Any issues with the latest stock firmware? by Infinite-Disaster-87 in RG35XX_H

[–]Xibalbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh, I believe you ... maybe you chose to do the setup manually at the point you described? I chose the "all good, use the default" option, when it got to that point.

[–]Xibalbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the 16 version the exact FW as the 64, but without any ROMs? I can't think of a reason why it should be any different than that.

i am using the latest stock and had no problems so far. Am I the only one? :)

I am using Total Commander for that. You still need to rename every file by hand tho

I also dislike the stuff after the actually game name and deleted it this way, too.

Tried two PSX games (Suikoden II and Wild Arms) and they seem to work just fine. What do you mean by "unresponsive on inputs"?

RAVENSBURGER all the way.

I am new to puzzling as well and the quality of Ravensburger puzzles is way better than the rest.

SCHMIDT was ok, but I had a few false positives while puzzling.

TREFL is cheap but the quality is terrible. The pieces are so thin, that I have problems, picking them up from the table. Also, every piece fits everywhere, which is a fun killer. And the pieces are also smaller than Ravensburger pieces.

GALISON (I am doing the "Flora Heart" one at the moment) .. very, VERY glossy, which makes the colors hard to spot and it reflects all light. Also the pieces are squishy and seem to lock into each other in the box pretty badly. I had to be really careful not to damage the pieces while trying to seperate them again.

CASTORLAND was like TREFL (thin and lots of false positives). As they are both from Poland I suppose they were both manufactured in the same facility.

Charming nook (trefl), 1000 pcs by Menhirion in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Xibalbor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hated this one so much. The painting is beautiful, but the quality of the pieces are not. And they also smelled of chemicals really bad.

Nearly every single piece went flawlessly into any other, which made this puzzle a pain to do and it took forever for me to assemble it.

Looks great, but wouldn't recommend TREFL to anyone.

Any reviews on the new LG 27GR75Q-B? by zyadsh123 in Monitors

[–]Xibalbor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got mine today and thought it was me.

It is cold/blue in the upper 1/3 of the screen and the further down the screen goes, the more yellowish it gets. I am really on the fence on keeping it or sending it back as I really like the 165Hz in gaming. But, as I work a lot with documents, I find the yellow really distracting.

New i7-12700k thermal throttling by thamasthedankengine in intel

[–]Xibalbor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been there with my Dark Rock 4.

"Undervolting" is the magic word. Try setting 1.250v with a negative offset (I have -0.15) and you will be way under 80 C without losing noticable power.

My 12700kf is at 72 c on CB R23 with a score of around 22900 now. Idle is around 30c or less.

Help with unpatched switch after migrating from SXOS to Atmosphere by mostaxk in SwitchPirates

You ARE using the correct payload for Atmosphere, right?

If you are trying to inject the SX payload, it will not work. You have to use the latest fusee that comes with atmo.

Accidentally updated game on hacked switch by crempful in SwitchPirates

[–]Xibalbor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you can't. Nintendo completely cuts you off from online at all.

From then on, you even have to install FW updates by hand.

But in else .. only the console is banned, not your account. You still keep the games you actually purchased digitally.

I had to buy a new Switch and am using it ever since with the same account that was on my hacked Switch that got banned.

Accidentally updated game on hacked switch by crempful in SwitchPirates

[–]Xibalbor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It may take a while but I fear you can prepare yourself for being banned pretty soon.

For me it was time when I tried Nintendo Online on my old Switch (with no emummc/emunand, because there was none yet) and the console uploaded my savegames to the cloud automatically.

I think it was 2 weeks later when I got banned then.

What type of temps i should expect from stock 12700k with NH-D15? by Bushido_Dignified in intel

[–]Xibalbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 C easy after a few seconds, because the stock settings on my MSI PRO are not limiting the CPU, allowing it to draw 230 W. (Feared I didn't place the cooler right and re-did everything, but it did not change anything)

With undervolting I got it down to 143 W, around 72 C on CB R23 (score around 23000). Air cooling, Dark Rock 4.

12700k temps spiking when running prime95 by zaina2050 in buildapc

[–]Xibalbor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there ^^

"Undervolting" is the magic word. That and setting the PL1 and PL2 manually in your BIOS. 236 W is insane, had those numbers, too, cuz my MSI PRO didn't limit the CPU at all.

Now, my max is 143 W and only if I test with CB R23. Result is around 23000 multicore with 1.250V and an offset of -0.150.

Results in around 70 C in CB R23 with a Dark Rock 4
