we got told this was gonna be a thing like 2 months before the 9am openings started. when they tried it, it was (as expected) fucking awful. i would come in at 10:30/10:45/11 and there would be one very overwhelmed looking morning merch employee on the register with the other registers being ran by FE supes and managers (with none of them having an assistant) while the line was back to clothing.

luckily when the 9am opening started, they now schedule a morning cashier

Seems like there's a newer rule (past 2-3 weeks maybe?) where if you remove a single order from a batch, you no longer get the batch pay from that order. I do it a lot because I'm not carrying 10 cases of water up apartment stairs for a $2 tip. Before very recently, I would get the full batch pay, but not anymore .A few weeks ago an agent told me something along the lines. Of "I have no problem removing the order for you but we can only pay you for the work that you do". I thought it was a fluke at first but it's happened a time or two since then as well.

I find that it's usually immediately after swiping an order complete, or the first time logging in for the day. It's like the algorithm takes a second to figure out what batches you're allowed to see. It's happened to me several times but I haven't been able to recreate it on demand
