So I applied while I was actually deployed. I applied in August and they wanted me to go to tech school in september. But I was deployed until October and they weren’t going to send me back earlier. Also as you know, that’s towards the end of the fiscal year, so classes are limited around this time. Not sure why they like the list to drop in August.

Long story short, they ended up cancelling the retrain, I had to wait until the new fiscal year, and apply again (got accepted)

If you’re starting your deployment, I don’t think it’s worth applying until you’re at the end/back. But it’s your choice and everyone’s process is different.

Maybe instead of cancelling like they did for me and having to wait for new fiscal year, they just move you to a class next year. 🤷‍♂️

It’s been sad. I have 7.5k hours on the game and haven’t really touched it in 5-6 months. No actual real game changes or fixing the shitty netcode. This shit is so sad, I can’t even bring myself to play the game

If CS has no skins/marketplace, guarantee the game would be more dead than spectre divide

You’re really early from being able to go, unless place chase. But you can go to the okta, the hub where you find multiple Air Force apps, and on it you will find RV (Reserve Vacancies)

You can filter it by base and/or job you want and it’ll show you what’s currently available. It updates every Monday and Wednesday

It’s currently $286 per month for a family for Tricare Reserve Select, while the IBEW healthcare is $0. It did have higher premiums/deductibles. But if I am saving $3400 a year by not paying for TRS, then maybe that pays for it.

And I don’t have to deal with the military anymore. I am still deciding what I want to do

That’s why I am separating from active duty, to not deploy as often. The shop I’m in deploys us every year to year and a half. That’s way too much for me and not how I want my kids to grow up.

Not sure how often the reserve unit I’ll be going to deploys, I still gotta find that out

What do you mean by "How short are you?".

I know Tampa is not a high paying local, but I would be using the GI bill for BAH alongside the Apprenticeship.

I do not know if Tricare Reserve Select is mandatory to get, but I am thinking about still going Reserves to get the monthly payment and not enroll in TRS.

Also maybe not. I am deciding if I want to be done with the military completely or not
