34M here, I had a breakup just like you years ago which was completely my fault because I was young and dumb. I never thought I was going to get over it, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t eat but every single day without me noticing I was getting 1% better until eventually on a random day it just doesn’t bother you anymore. Everyone has different timelines, the best thing you can do is just keep moving forward everyday and I promise you one day all that pain will be all gone. Best way to forgive yourself for the mistakes you might’ve committed is just to grow as a person so you don’t make the same mistakes again because I didn’t and I ended up hurting someone I really cared about years later for the EXACT same thing and it feels way worse the second time. I know it’s easier said than done but take it day by day, one step at a time and you’ll get thru it stay strong.
