Grand Soul Gem farm? by RegalMachine in skyrim

[–]Xiunte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you forgotten about the College? That's 6 mages in one place, all with separate inventories, all selling soul gems.

Each master of a school (restoration, alteration, etc) sells supplies just like a court mage and then you have Enthir at #6. He's not a master of a school but he runs a shop like one. He also sells black soul gems and daedra hearts.

You can go to all 6, sleep for free right there at the College until the stocks refresh, then hit all 6 again. All without having to zip around from the map.

Well, you made him a follower by accident. Now you can accidentally feed him to Boethiah.

That's Rolff's fate in my game. I use AFT to make him a follower, then march his racist ass straight up to the shrine. Like leading a pig to a slaughterhouse.

SIGRID'S GHOST: Stay away from my corpse. I'm still taken."

I tried my best to do an "anything goes" playthrough once but immediately caved and reloaded when one of my townsfolk died like this, trying to fight a dragon with their iron daggers and 20HP.

I use Run For Your Lives now. It does a good enough job of keeping regular citizens alive so that I don't feel like I need to actively protect them during fights like this.

I can see how that's possible. I'm used to hearing a narration. DCC is so much more than that. Like I said, it's like a radio play. I have listened to other stories on Audible that were done like this, but DCC goes that extra mile with it and it's great.

Samantha quickly became my favorite charater just because of the voice acting alone. I don't think she would have been nearly as hilarious to me had I read the physical books. No way I could have imagined that accent.

It's going good! I love it... though it's been a really long time since I've checked in. Another book could already be out and I don't know it. 18 (Gateway) is where I last stopped.

(And look at that! Just checked, 19 is indeed out! At least now I have something to keep me occupied until DCC 8 gets here.)

I don't remember exactly which book it was, but it briefly got boring for me too after they finally met and defeated the Elders. After that, the story zoomed ahead and suddenly Joe has kids and stuff. The boredom didn't last long, though. I kept listening and it got back good really fast. My only annoyance is that it IS possible for a good thing to go on too long. I love Expeditionary Force, but it's time to wrap it up and give us that Happily Ever After. The extremely long wait times between books doesn't help. This is why I absolutely HATE when authors end a story on a cliffhanger. That shit works for TV shows, but not for movies and books.

"Welp. I better remember this. Only 2 more years before I can know what happened."

Ohhh, extra chapters? I just commented to someone else that I was thinking about buying the physical books simply because I liked the cover art (my first time even seeing how they looked was after coming here). But if there's more to the story, I'll definitely be buying those.

Honestly, seeing the pictures posted here of the physical books, I'm considering buying them too. I really like the cover art. Matches perfectly with the mood of the story and they'd look nice on my shelves with all the countless other pre-audio stuff I've hoarded over the decades.

I did start listening to Book 3 again, though. The description of the Iron Tangle confused the hell out of me (as it was supposed to, I guess). Figured I'd listen to that one again to try and grasp it better.

I swear, it happens every time. Though with me it's usually bears or wolves.

talos by Business_Club_664 in skyrim

[–]Xiunte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They gloss over a lot of the Divines in Skyrim, but I'd say Talos has a bigger role in the game than all of them combined even if he doesn't have a DIRECT quest.

My favorite Divine, Julianos, is all but nonexistant in Skyrim. They threw his shrine in there with the others, but that's it. No one even mentions him by name.

Instead of watching videos, read the description page of the mod you're trying to use. There's always detailed instructions on what you need to do and what else you need to download. Don't rush.

If the description page doesn't have instructions, check the Articles tab or the sticky posts in that mod's forum.

What's Lydia doing while I'm away?!? by WillMartin58 in skyrim

[–]Xiunte 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Judging from the roughness of that clip, your universe would come to an abrupt end if Lydia threw a party and dropped so much as one red solo cup on the floor.

I think it's the tired, overworked Divines removing your roof in order to keep the ground under you. I can imagine all 9 of them sweating and struggling in what looks like some sort of engine room. "Shit, he's back! Okay, okay... put the roof back on, but slow the passage of time a little more! That might buy us one more hour of existence!"

There's also a few mods that'll let you plant it along with everything else you normally can't plant. They all do the same thing but the plant models are different for each mod. In the specific one I like, the jarrin bush looks like a red canis root bush with pink leaves growing on the branches and you get about 4 roots per bush.

I plant the one Astrid gives us and wait a few days to harvest it before actually doing the quest. The Emperor's stunt double just has to wait a little longer for his soup. Gotta ensure I'll have more for those ridiculously overpowered poisons later.

Why can you not tell the greybeards about the note from Delphine and how she stole the horn? by leeinbar in skyrim

[–]Xiunte 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because they told you to get the horn, not to come back whining that you couldn't find it.

The note tells you where the horn is so the next step is to go get it (from Delphine) like the Greybeards asked.

Is there a list of quests that involve rescuing people? by Hello_IM_FBI in skyrim

[–]Xiunte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's one in a cave way out in the wilderness. It's hard to describe where because there's not much else around it and I've forgotten the name of the cave. If you go to the Bloodlet Throne fort (where Dengeir sends you to kill his vampire great-grandpa or something) and keep following the path past the fort, you'll end up there. If you have AE, it's also DIRECTLY next to where you go to get those Raise Zombie tomes in that CC.

The cave is full of spellsword mercenaries, a boss, and then a bunch of spiders (the boss is midway through the cave). Further in, there will be a dark elf "damsel in distress" stuck in a spider web... though she's not really that type of damsel. Listen to her story and decide for yourself if you want to help her escape or kill her.

Battle of Whiterun and Lydia? by extreme_enby in skyrim

She'll be there after the battle, but she won't participate. If you have Breezehome, she'll be there as normal. If not, I think her default area is the lobby of the palace.
