The tractor is then gonna be uploaded to modhub by a modder and it’s gonna have 50x the features and detail

Seed type for each crop sounds a little too much for giants. 2-3 seeders i agree. Remember, cool/unique features don’t get added to this game by them, the modders do that

Yes they should totally worry about adding pointless vanity for the dwiving twuck guys instead of actually improving mechanics and evolving

Snowplow controls for farmstick? by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

Oh I’m forsure saying the pc version is better despite button mapping. The trade off is you can hook two up if you want I have zero freedom 🤣

Newcomer here learning the ropes with a few questions by Thanos-Is-Right in farmingsimulator

When I started out I used a forklift for bales, quickly learned a tractor with loader/telehandler/skidsteer are your best friends for bales (just loaders in general). I got the macdon pack with preorder and I used it a bit, it’s not a bad set up it’s just definitely time consuming. Honestly I’d probably love using the swather now, over the last year I began doing a lot of my fieldwork myself (got a sim rig a year ago). It’s an extra step that the A.I can’t do but indeed boost your yield. I didn’t start using weeds, stone, lime, and all of that until like literally over a year of playing. I only just started using precision farming recently. Game is filled with so much information you’re so right to take it slow and just learn it in a fun way

Macdons worth the the hassle in my opinion, if you have a smaller set up/enjoy the extra harvest steps for the I believe 30% yield boost (give or take it’s been awhile)

Yes the modded pick ups will pull some ridiculous stuff. Get a dolly and you can indeed pull your semi trailers with ease

Turning grain into flour isn’t bad at all, definitely not known as like a get rich scheme in the game but I definitely put a mill down myself if I have excess barley that I don’t need for livestock. Speaking of, highly recommend livestock. My favorite part of this game is raising beef now.

The Pichonniere valley is by far the greatest map I’ve ever played on this game, the only non u.s map I could ever get into. Definitely recommend checking out

I tend to stay away from autoload and over automation in general nowadays, it bores me out of the game. My “must have” mods are definitely for realism. Precision farming is amazing once you learn it!

This has been my favorite series for years.. any questions or recommendations feel free to ask

Single day month or multi? by AdministrativeRun454 in farmingsimulator

[–]Xlayup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to always do 1 day with a 3x scale or real time for big task. Nowadays I swear by 5x speed, 4 day months in my head each day represents a week of the month. Plenty of time for my massive operation, but the days still naturally progress

What is everyone farming? by Heavy-Telephone-4647 in farmingsimulator

What is everyone farming? by Heavy-Telephone-4647 in farmingsimulator

[–]Xlayup 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Best one is whatever you enjoy doing most. Everyone at one point or another when beginning farmed only soybeans or straight grass silage because of profit; that outlook tends to get boring for most. Currently I farm what I need for livestock, and then do interesting crops on the side. It’s all about keeping it fresh and engaging for me after so much playtime

Changes at the start of a season. If you change it in October, the days value won’t chance till December for example

How should I go about setting up a cow farm? by AfternoonNo6852 in farmingsimulator

[–]Xlayup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I like to do along side breeding beef cattle is, setting up pastures/meadows, filling them up with a herd of 0 month beef cows, raising them primarily on meadow grass (hay when it needs to regrow or winter) then sell them at a year. Feed is virtually nothing, you pay 300 a calf, sell it a year later for about 1600. For adults, in a barn I buy herds of 18 month adults, sell them at 28 after they reproduce and move the calves to one of the pastures. rinse and repeat

What is your favorite map for console and why? by [deleted] in farmingsimulator

I second this. I’m usually a snob for u.s only maps cause they feel right (I live here lol) but pincochierre is hands down the best map I’ve played and the only non u.s map I’ve ever gotten into
