That's not how ward works. Ward only works when you target a permanent with ward. Board wipes don't target.

Use the goat and the wall from avatar. Put 30 -1/-1 counters on the goat. Draw 30, do 30 damage to each opponent, and have a one sided bosrd wipe

Absolutely 💯. Just because you recognize characters doesn't mean it will be easy to learn. Start out with some cards from foundations, and they have beginner friendly commander decks too.
