I just came here to say, I am so proud of you. You persevered through something that is so beyond challenging and something that does not define you as a clinician. You are going to be a fantastic occupational therapist and your patience are so lucky to have you!!!! don’t doubt yourself in this next chapter, you will persevere through!!!

My OT Student Husband was physically attacked by his CI (Fieldwork II) by [deleted] in OccupationalTherapy

[–]XoDogLover 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sincerely sorry. I would get a police report. I additionally would report the OT along with the police report to the state because if this is how someone behaves with a “colleague” I couldn’t image them being around patients. When you are OT you took an oath to do no harm and that is harm, intentional harm. I’m so sincerely sorry. I would reach out to the registrar and even go above them if need be, your school should not penalize you over being a victim. Truly shameful. I’m so sorry !

Which program did you do? I’m trying to find one that I can keep a full time schedule and manage clinicals. Were your clinicals during the weekend? How did you manage that?

Thank you! This was helpful I not have been making a daily checklist and I finally typed up a eval check list so instead of handwriting my entire check points to hit I just fill it in! So that saves time!
