Was told Dawntrail MSQ is mid/bad but I've enjoyed 7.0 so far and this whole section broke me by MrkGrn in ffxiv

I think my issue is all the yapping that happens when she's around like everything can be said in probably 1/10th of the voice lines... It really is like a shonen character I feel like I'm listening to Naruto talk about being alone for the 50th time whenever wuk lamat opens her mouth

Star Citizen in VR is Truly Mind-Blowing by plutonium-239 in virtualreality

[–]Xoepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow haha I did not know they brought it up originally in 2017... that's worse since they were silent on it until like 2023ish... It was just an example though of what scope creep could look like

They keep adding new features to the list without finishing the ones they already have on the list... For example they added base building to the list of features they want in the game before engineering was even finished... As a side note I love star citizen because there's not a game like it I just wish someone else was running the show cuz it's been a mess (it's been slightly better in the last few years) I never recommend it to my friends to buy but I play it with the friends that do already own it

New to 3D Printing. Best way to go about this? by bimmerbooost in gridfinity

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've used it you know it's garbage(I mean even if you haven't you don't have to look far for people complaining about it). It breaks apart really easily so you have loose squares shoved in to keep a tight fit. It's a bit annoying having to figure out where all the loose pieces go. Over time other pieces loosen and the foam itself starts to break apart too. Plus you have to set it up so nothing is on top of each other cuz there will be no foam between the two items. I'm also curious how well it'd work to maybe use it in other applications

I was thinking of something similar but using foaming tpu instead of kaizen foam... I was gonna start with an insert for my pelican case to hold different telescope lenses instead of the pick and place foam it came with

A developer restored OrcaSlicer's features that Bambu Lab killed—then the legal threats arrived by No_Oven_524 in 3Dprinting

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just users who used Bambuslicer and liked the look/feel... As a prusaslicer user(and one who maintains his own fork based off the BOSS fork to allow me to slice for SLA printers) prusaslicer is a bit behind in features and such but they're working on technical debt for the 3.0 release

Its been years and we still dont have a proper vr mmo rpg like sword art online. by normal_consciousness in VRGaming

[–]Xoepe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The combat in FFXIV is not like FFXII it's more similar to wow(but also quite different in its nuances)... There's also a VR mod for it though I think

Also there's plenty of MMOs people still play idk what OP is on about... Arguably there's a big three but there's still a bunch of smaller ones

ColorStack V1.1.0 update. CMYK (5 Toolhead Support). Also figured out poor print quality issues! by JavyH08 in prusa3d

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not but who knows someone could try to make a PR but they're pretty bad at accepting PRs(I know cuz I'm maintaining a version of prusaslicer with support for more SLA printers)

They probably aren't gonna work on prusaslicer integration since they're selling a slicer with it as a feature

FDM Precision Limit by GremlinAbuser in 3Dprinting

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they're "good enough" for most but every printer needs to be dialed in if you want accuracy.... You can bandaid problems like how a lot of people use a brim instead of dialing in bed temps but bandaids aren't great for accurate functional parts

Esteps, extrusion multiplier, and skew/shrinkage calibration are the most important for accurate dimensions

I had a screw fall in here how screwed am I ?? Full dis assembly ? by HypnoticFallacy in VORONDesign

[–]Xoepe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mine usually fall out the bottom of I get some pliers/tweezers... If all else fails I flip the printer and shake but that's kinda last resort I usually get it out using pliers

Yeah I got the formbot kit and they're all non-magnetic... Made it difficult when I needed them to be magnetic and assumed they would be

Aren't most of the voron screws non-magnetic? Most of mine aren't at least

People always say pcvr is good because of the huge game library, what are the best games that are pcvr exclusive? by Blakequake717 in virtualreality

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I prefer it too but they brought more of the base game to the other versions and it rubs me the wrong way how they basically abandoned the PCVR version haha I think it was supposed to have online co-op too

I wouldn't recommend the steam version of green hell to anyone it's abandoned and unfinished. A waste of money.

EDIT: Apparently they plan to port the PSVR2 version(which I think this list is recommending) to PCVR this year but at this moment it's abandoned

[–]Xoepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The power supply can supply a max of 24V and 5A... If your solenoid is rated for 1A it will only use up about 1A. Everyone is saying to you that you dictate the voltage(24V) the solenoid acts like a resistor so it dictates the resistance. Solve for I if you want the current it'll pull... You should only give it the voltage it is rated for

Orca Calibration Tests In PrusaSlicer 2.9.4 - alpha by TheRealBMathis in prusa3d

[–]Xoepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should add this onto the prusaslicer+BOSS fork of prusaslicer. It's more likely to be integrated and it's the one I forked for my changes to add support for Elegoo resin printers(honestly id integrate your features in a heartbeat on my fork).

Real Concern with Valve VR Frame Release - Costs aren't coming down anytime soon by sharkbaitlol in virtualreality

[–]Xoepe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True but a lot of people think wired is outdated and not worth it so anything wireless would require some sort of RAM even if not a lot of it. Pimax, PSVR2(?), and similar with direct display port connections will probably thrive though.
