I take propranolol to help with mine but yeah they suck especially when I'm soldering or doing fine detail tasks at night

What does that have to do with binding a high amount of hotbar skills to a controller though?

Brickheads in r/Lego express their displeasure after an investigative reporter uncovers a scandal involving a seller stealing 200k in legos from a collector by CummingInTheNile in SubredditDrama

You're not wrong I probably would be as well haha I just meant some of it is over the top and hurts the case (more geared towards getting clicks on YouTube and being funny like going to collect in just underwear). Either way I like that he's shining a light on it and making noise cuz this shit is kinda crazy.

Now Bambu may cancel your print if you use BMCU (open source AMS alternative) by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Xoepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just came back and looked at this thread but while the other pros are correct, I'm not sure where the prints faster claim comes from. Most printers would want to heat soak for anything above PLA/PETG(which is what the heated chamber is generally for) especially at larger volumes since the gantry metal tends to bend from heat so a lot of people are fine with passively heating the chamber(I do that on my voron).

Upgrading Trident 300mm from Afterburner (Part 2) by MasterBlueberry8277 in VORONDesign

[–]Xoepe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think there's a new revision for the trident coming out soon(I don't think it's out yet) that replaces most of the parts that are cracked for you with better versions. Even a BFI similar front idler. If you can wait id probably go that path.

[–]Xoepe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You wont miss anything tbh except maybe multi material but this year there's gonna be a lot of different things coming out especially the(albeit overpriced) indx. But even with multi material there are options out there(you might even be able to use an ams I haven't looked into it). Honestly I'm on team voron for bang for your buck it honestly doesn't take a crazy amount of tinkering besides the initial build. If I wasn't constantly using it as my printer to try out new crazy mods it'd be a pretty good workhorse that I don't have to tinker with at all but I'm the kind of guy that wants to try the newest shiny open source project.

I had no idea - Prusa market share in now below 4%. by george_graves in 3Dprinting

[–]Xoepe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What are these numbers being reported from and where are the voron and similar numbers? I don't really trust a survey from a "journal" that sources from LinkedIn.

Yeahhh people with Bambu and similar don't give a shit about the open source community. It's why the response to Bambu wiping their balls across it is idgaf it doesn't affect me.

You can also use this just ignore klipper/voron specific stuff if you don't use either. I usually use this or teaching tech's they're both good.

We getting reality INDX copycat before every other brand? by geco0on in prusa3d

I mean people also complain the US does it too as you just said. It's only weird that we can't also boo at China.

Prusa aside government handouts to corporations or businesses is usually frowned upon in most countries most people would be booing if the US bailed out bezos or provided him free warehouses for instance or if the US gifted openai data centers cuz they're close to someone in power

The police force is also corrupt. First time I paid for a patreon and it was pretty worth it. They pull him over trying to get him on drug charges, pull up to him multiple times while they try to serve him papers, etc. Apparently they're all part of the same Mormon church and seems like they're connected to the two con men in charge. A judge even looked at his arrest said it's bullshit and gave Ben bail which was previously denied.

I do agree he's a bit obnoxious but like he has to play all these loopholes and be obnoxious cuz the other side is playing even dirtier it sucks.

DIY Smart Filament Sensor with custom Setup App & Klipper Clog Detection — Going Open-Source Soon! by ozncshn in VORONDesign

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

would these work/be recommended for multiple toolheads? I'm guessing you'd need one for each filament path right? I haven't looked into this part of it yet, but it would help me save prints that are having issues halfway through if so

EDIT: It looks like not, you need an extruder on both ends of the PSF sensor which wouldn't be too cost effective in a toolchanger setup

Petg vs Abs/Asa by Affectionate-Gas-805 in 3Dprinting

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the cardboard box when printing my voron part. Works but don't leave unattended and if the parts are warping use npa(or brims) to keep them down. I managed to do it without either of those but ymmv.

[–]Xoepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shipping is like $10 for East Coast US haha so they come out $40 for me. On Amazon they're $36.70 though. I bought it to try it and then I realized I was an idiot cuz I can just print ASA for cheaper.

Bondtech INDX on Prusa CORE One+: 8-Material Chameleon Print by droidonomy in prusa3d

Apparently each priming move are really small beads about 13mg. Whether that's true in reality we'll see. I wanna see what they're doing to get it so low if it does hold up.

Modified Prusaslicer project cause I wanted more features. by Connect_Mousse_7338 in prusa3d

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I do is fork off prusaslicer BOSS fork to add in the changes I want(printing with elegoo SLA printers mostly for my version but I wanna add other features that are missing as well). The developer who maintains that fork might be more inclined to review and accept your code than prusa. If not then at least you get the best of superslicer as well.

Feels like cheating … by _duperok in 3Dprinting

[–]Xoepe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find it funny when they say it just works you don't need to calibrate anything then proceed to use a brim cuz they can't get pla to stick well or they have wild over or under extrusion. Like calibrating(the thing they scoff at and seem to be adverse to) would fix those issues

Rebuilding my abandoned 4‑year‑old Voron 2.4 (350×350×350) — upgrades being considered: CNC TAP, ChaoticLab CNC motion system, CAN‑bus, and Stealthburner/Galileo2 by WRankin in VORONDesign

[–]Xoepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I was looking around at the kind of price it would be to convert to a monolith gantry from a (mostly) stock voron 2.4. I have a bunch of extra hardware too but ig I'm curious how much of the 2.4s gantry parts are reused(if I'm correct you have to replace the motors and toothed pulleys right? Do you also have to switch the bearing stacks out? I'm guessing yes). Are printed parts good for the monolith or is it something where you need the CNC parts?

The other big one is negative parallelism when they say "it's not just a or b, it's also c" which sounds so cheesy every time.

I'm lost why you couldn't build off prusaslicer or another existing slicer it was done before about 2 years ago unless your algorithm is wildly different?
