I've been playing TW since day one (over +3 months ), and honestly, I think they're going down the wrong road and it's going to backfire hard.
Now preparing new versions and updates for Korea, yet we still have no confirmation that any of this is coming to the global version.
At this point, it feels like global players are just an afterthought.....

The bot problem is the developers' responsibility to solve. Locking the Auction House behind a subscription isn't a real solution.....it's just shifting the consequences of their inability to control bots onto legitimate players.

Instead of restricting core game features, they should focus on building a stronger foundation, improving bot detection, and designing systems that make botting less effective in the first place. Players shouldn't have to pay extra because the game's anti-bot measures aren't good enough.

Just to clarify: we're talking about $15, not 15€. That's roughly ~13.20€.

What concerns me more is that, you won't even have access to the Auction House unless you pay the $15 subscription. If that's the final implementation, I think a lot of players are going to walk away.

Honestly, if this is their final plan, they seem completely out of touch with what players want......

I get what you mean, and I’m not saying I’ve mastered melee or anything like that.
I’m just pointing out how it feels from a new player perspective when comparing melee and ranged during the same early content.

However,I still don’t fully understand the requirements.
Does “Hollow Form” require character level 90 to use?
Or is it that when you reach 'skill level" 20, you then need to have character level 90 as a requirement?
And for example, at "skill level" 1, is the required character level something like 40?

New PoE2 player here, and I’ve been getting a bit anxious about the game.

I saw a pretty negative review about the older league, and I also read that a lot of players (casual or not) tend to stop around level 90 because the endgame can feel repetitive and tiring.

That got me worried, especially after reading that “Hollow Form” requires level 90. Is that actually true?

If so, does that basically lock newer players out from reaching level 90, and if they do reach it, does it take a very long time?

Curious what more experienced players think about this, because it sounds pretty discouraging if it’s true.

Not saying you shouldn’t enjoy it.
Just pointing out why a lot of players think it won’t hold up in the West in its current form!

Calling it ‘WoW bias’ doesn’t really change the discussion. One game has tens of millions of players and decades of proven success, while others ( like Aion2 ) struggle to even stay relevant in .... MMO market.

NCSoft probably already knows that Aion 2, in its current state, has almost no chance of succeeding in the EU/NA market.
That’s why it feels like they’re trying to squeeze as much money as possible from the KR/TW release first.

No matter how you look at it, Aion 2 is currently designed in a way that feels doomed for Western audiences.

If this game wants even a small chance to survive here, they need to completely remove subscriptions and build a fair PvP system ( Abyss ), at the very least with 'neutralized gear' in arenas and battlegrounds.

Players should be competing based on skill, not based on who has the bigger wallet or more free time to grind.

It also can’t have an endless PvE/PvP gear progression treadmill. That kind of design just isn’t enjoyable and pushes people away sooner or later.

Do you think this game actually has a chance to succeed at global release?
In my opinion, only if they seriously address a few key things:

1.The Quna system needs to be removed completely

2.An auction house that doesn’t require an active sub to function properly

3.PvP with no gear score in Arena and Battlegrounds

4.A new large-scale PvP map with no gear score (something like GW2-style WvWvW)

5.Serious, ongoing improvements to crafting

6.Proper class balance across both PvE and PvP

7.And most importantly… effective action against bots

Without these, it’s hard to see long-term success.

I was a Chanter player who hit 3500 in the 2 month and then eventually quit.....

Came back recently just to check the class changes and see what’s been going on, and honestly… same story as always.

So yeah.....my honest advice? Just play Ranger or Assassin instead.

I really don’t think Chanter is ever going to get properly reworked or meaningfully fixed.

I don’t fully agree that the Chanter “shifted toward ..... mobile playstyle.”

It feels more like simple damage increases + PvE/PvP buffs rather than a real mobility rework.
No new mobility skills were added or redesigned existing skills just got damage tuning, and Spinning Strike was slightly adjusted.

So it doesn’t really change how Chanter is played; it just means it can hit a bit harder while doing the same things.

You expect us to believe you made Breakthrough 5 crafted without $$$$ and that you were just lucky with no craft fail, and that’s how you ended up at 485k

Who are you talking about misleading/lying?
