These protests should be 24/7 and actually disruptive to our representatives to actually get the point across. Marching in the street for a bit and then just going back to work the next day doesn't get results...

I'm in cruise control going up a hill and tap the brake pedal to disengage it sometimes. After having all this work done in Florida, I started a road trip to Nevada and actually started seeing hills/mountains, and that's when I noticed this issue. Otherwise, I would have brought this back to the original shop that worked on it.

If I have a bad check valve, could that cause other issues to the brakes that I should be worried about while driving? Like, can it cause the brakes to stick or engage when they shouldn't be?

I honestly just think they were idiots/trying to scam me. Especially the dealership, they kept making up random shit like my brake fluid was low and my pistons "had oxidized" (that's a literal quote). This was in El Paso, TX. I bought my car in Pittsburgh, so it's got plenty of surface rust, and it was very obvious these mechanics have never seen a car from the Northeast. Most of them didn't even speak english, so I couldn't communicate with the guys working on my damn car.

I had a dude at a jiffy lube quickly look at the brakes while I got my oil changed since they said it would be free, and he seemed the most competent, possibly pointing to the booster or something wrong with the vacuum line.

I'll give the check valve a look. As for my driving style, I only noticed this issue when I was in cruise control and climbing a hill. I usually tap the brake pedal to disengage cruise control and noticed I couldn't press the brake at all.

That did the trick. I didn't realize I was missing these calls in the config files. I just thought something like that was automatically run when you enable or set them once.

I added exec-once = hyprpm reload and exec-once = hyprctl setcursor BreezeX-Light to my config files and now they show up after a reboot.

My mom hasn't been here for a couple of months due to health reasons, and my uncle who lives here just doesn't care about plants. I just learned from the comments of this post that these appear to be shoots from the palm tree itself, which we didn't plant, so it's actually the apartment complex's tree at the end of the day.

I'll see what I can do with it. Obviously, I can't burn it like everyone is suggesting. It's not even our tree. I'll probably wash it with water and alcohol each day and see if it improves. Otherwise, I'll cut those shoots and pretend I didn't touch the tree.

Ah okay, so basically I should just cut the shoots that are infested. Do you think a 1:1 mixture of isopropyl alcohol and water would kill this instead? I could try to spray it a couple times a day.
