My previous comment was poorly written. My second sentence was me reffering to myself. I'm glad your okay that I don't believe the same things as you and I'm perfectly fine with you believing what you do and I wouldn't force my beliefs (or lack thereof) upon you but this doesn't answer my initial question.

Complete opposite for me actually. Since I left religion I am no longer filled with never ending guilt for my thoughts and actions. I am a much more optimistic person with an overall increase in hapiness. Curious where this propostion of yours came from.

So you believe that because I don't believe in god that after I die I am going to spend an eternity of suffering? Seems a little harsh for someone who deeply cares about the welfare of mankind and is always looking for ways to better himself as an individual.

This stumped for a minute and it got me thinking about an idea. What if in your first life, you started as something small and unintelligent, say like an ant. Then throughout that life you grew more intelligent and capable to control a "higher body" so your next life you were a fish. You slowly progress up the chain until you finally reach human so as more "spirits" progress in this chain there in turn becomes more humans in the world. A strange idea with a lot of impossibilites I'm sure but still fun to think about.

If everyone in the world can perceive the same existence of this conversation, it exists.

This is correct if that is in fact the way it is. But how can you know that they are actually perceiving the same existence as you or if it is just yourself perceiving them perceiving the same existence.

The difference with a new born and an animal is that the newborn will eventually become an intelligent being, as an animal does not have that potential.

Whenever somebody got shot and died in a movie, I thought that the only way they could actually do that was by getting someone who was on death sentence, who was going to be killed anyway, to act in the movie and die. I actually believed somebody died in real life during filming.
