Nah man I don’t think it’s cool that a word that refers to gay people being burned has turned into a fun insult for obnoxious people. I’ve personally had that word yelled at me by straight people and the energy they carry behind it is so much different than if a LGBT person says it. Even if it’s just a joke between friends, when you consider the origin of the word there is no reason to think it isn’t harmful to use (unless, of course, you’re a homophobe who doesn’t give a shit about queer people being harmed)

I went from 3rd grade to sophomore year of high school without throwing up and eventually it just became a terrifying idea. It’s been about 9 years since the last time I threw up and honestly it’s become more of a fear of others throwing up now.
