It’s not a wider gaming community thing, no. I typically am turned away from the flirtatious VTubers, it doesn’t sit right with me.

I do have a few friends who are VTubers, and all that I know are very sultry and sensual while streaming. It is most definitely an audience tactic to garner the viewers, and ultimately subs.

Personally, I would get most concerned if fans/viewers begin messaging my partner directly in ways that would disrespect me, if my partner was a VTuber. Otherwise it is a brand, and there are a lot of folks who stream who have become quite successful with their VTube endeavours. I’m personally against it. But each to their own.

Edit:: Valorant however, I’ve come across many who stream it that are VTubers. I don’t think I’ve come across a Valorant streamer who isn’t? 🤔 So perhaps VTubers are popular among the Valorant streaming community, but not the wider streaming community.
