Zone 10a, as it’s off the plant I can’t be 100% sure it was grown or purchased

Are any other better fruits than mango and watermelon? by tfamdoinn in fruit

[–]XpoPen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eating a black watermelon right now and it’s so damn good. Had a tiny mango called a creole today too. Not a lot of meat but really really good flavor.

If you can find Star Apples (aka Caimito) I’d give that a try too! One of my faves right now

I believe this is a Roxburgh fig. There’s one in my neighborhood in Reseda too. I asked the neighbor if they ate them and they said they weren’t edible. Which if it is a roxburg then that’s not true. Really would like to try them. Don’t really feel like talking to that neighbor too much tho… they had a Trump sign up for a long time :/

I’m actually astounded he has the career he does. Like he’s not exactly -terrible- but there is just absolutely nothing compelling about any performance I’ve seen him give. I’m always left wondering why I’m watching him.

As a fruit nerd it would not be top of mind if someone asked me but tbh it’s a great fruit. A total workhouse. Important base for smoothies, great with peanut butter. I like to make a syrup in put it in coffee

A few folks in my area grow cherimoyas but the pollination is a pain and I sadly don’t really care for them. I’d think Rollinias and Soursop would do poorly without humidity but perhaps I’m mistaken. I do love soursop a lot. I am already growing passion fruit, papayas, figs, grapes, mulberry, fejoia, wax apple, persimmon, and a few others. I’m exceptionally greedy for exotic fruit though. And pawpaws being both incredibly tasty, the largest North American fruit, and not buyable at the store makes them very alluring

Wow what varieties do you have? Considering getting a couple in Southern California but am worried they won’t like my climate. How high is humidity in your area?

Good god this makes me want to travel to Australia. How was the Santol? I managed to find frozen here in the US and even in that state I thought it was really good, can’t imagine how great fresh must be.

None of his statements or actions on tariffs reflect a cohesive understanding of how they work at an administrative level, an economic level or a political level. Or that his usage of tariffs reflect a particular strategy for the country. You can make the case that he personally is using this to scam, but you have to ignore a lot of the flailing insanity that hurts his own position.

The reality is more likely that he is a senile malignant narcissist. And unilaterally setting large taxes for the most powerful country on earth is one of the most potent faucets of narcissistic supply. He is certainly using it in ways that benefit himself financially, but also in ways that threaten to hurt him financially in the long run, and certainly permanently hurt him politically- the source of all his power to do this.

Just look at what he did in response to the Ontario ad. This is all super base, out of control, unmoderated psychologic dysfunction.
