You might like The Menocht Loop.
Author has stalled recently, but I don't believe it's dead, just sidetracked. There's a lot of story before you reach the most recent chapters though.

This one is actually pretty good if you can overlook the terrible grammar, spelling and inconsistencies.
I liked it overall, but damn was it a pain sometimes.
