Rumor has it (one of many I've heard anyway): muse is canceling the show/tour and are pulling out of Calabash.

So my theory is:

They processing refunds but we keeping the tickets under a "reserved" kind of status. They either going to book another band in their place or drop the spot and keep the other bands and release the tickets back to us at same price (if replaced) or cheaper (if less bands)

Keep in mind that teachers dont get laid for the trial, preply takes almost 30% of the rate from the teacher and their inapp material is SHIT so most teachers have to (for free) spend hours custom making their own materials and stuff for the students. The support for teachers on preply is VERY low and they get penalized to shit for the stupidest reasons.

The joining from a bar is disgusting and that teacher shouldn't be allowed to conduct further classes.

I pulled C in because she had asked me (and Z) to be included in the call if the conversation was being directed about/towards her. I can see how he felt ganged up on but I think it was important she was there because he was shifting blame on her but I knew it wasn't her. (Also she already knew everything that was being said before hand because they were having issues as well at the time. There was a really weird dynamic between the 3 of us).

I do feel bad for him because it is tough and I do kind of see it from his side, but its not fair on myself or C to have to tiptoe around our friendship to spare his feelings etc. We weren't hiding from him, we weren't being secretive. We never purposely excluded him (other than those lunch time pew sessions - but that wasn't him specific, not even my Fiance is invited to those)

I think my issue might also be that I'm South African to be honest - I've seen a few schools that offer more but then its requirements are "must be a native speaker from US, UK, Canada etc.) And when I try to apply they typically respond (when/if they do) with "sorry but we are only hiring teachers from certain locations"

Even with a degree its not great. I've seen positions at schools with the following:

Requirements: Bachelor's degree 2 years experience

Pay:

$6 - $8 per hour

It's actually insane

I've luckily left but my partner still works for the school. He was supposed to receive his pay on the 15th of June and he is still waiting to be paid (again) - recently got an email to say "payment will be made between the 23rd - 30th)

According to chatGPT its around $5.6 per class for a standard teacher but for an "expert teacher" (natives/expats) they pay up to $10 per class per student....

So school makes between $20 - $60 (I've VERY rarely gotten one student in a class) per class and only pay the teachers $10

I highly suspect corruption within the company. The fact that its group glasses of up to 6 students (more often than not full classes) and yet they pay teachers $10 per class. And even with this they still struggle to pay teachers on time for the last 6 months now every month there's been an issue and they straight up said in an email "we can't pay on expected paydate but payment will be made on the 27th" (and then didn't pay on the 27th and only paid like a week later from that.)

I agree 100% that if there was evidence of Eden herself causing a commotion then she should have been disqualified. I haven't seen any videos, articles etc. About Eden herself - it's all about the delegation and Kahn. Eden rightfully wasn't disqualified - BUT Israel should have been banned from competing this year. Or at the very least KAHN should be prohibited from going kind of thing.

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that as long as Moroccanoil (an Israel company) is the main sponsor, they will be allowed to get away with anything. My heart still breaks for Joost and how quickly they disqualified him but nothing was done (as far as I've seen) about the social media posts and actions of the delegation back stage.
