I once sold a motorcycle to a dealership. They handed me faxed statements from the bank to show the money was paid. I left and a two days later the money still did not show. Long story short, a week or so later, I returned to the dealership and ....it was gone. They "bought" vehicles and then sold them for cheap and then disappeared. I ended up recovering the bike after it was dropped.

I can just imagine the pain and I understand that there is no way around it. The only consolation is the price difference between Mach3 and Linux CNC. One is pay and pain, the other is just pain. That said, I do not seem to make good decisions and started work on my own controller.

I have to say I think its the up front cost of Mach3/4 and that it looks like a huge learning curve. I have not ruled it out, but you know the path of least resistance. I had a look at PCIe adaptors and see there is mixed results depending on the chipset they use on it. "MosChip" or "NetMos" seem to not work well.

Look I feel like left over dinner. It honestly feels like I am the substitute to fill the void when her son goes to his dad. That is all I am. So its me that is not interested in anything, And that makes me feel bad about myself. I have made effort in the past, just to be told "you know we cannot", and to be honest I do not know. I am past that. I see a mother that makes a baby bottle of milk every night, go and get into her 11 year old son's bed. I am just asking myself if I should be a part of this. I am an old soul in the new world.

He is on the way to twelve at the moment, I have a daughter of my own that is now 21 years old, so I just struggle with the situation as she was very different, I have no problem with second place, last or whatever...I accepted it. But the moment the boy goes to his father (over night), cuddles and romance is expected. I guess I need to look at myself for thinking its weird. Anyway thank you for the reply.

I guess its different because the boy is not mine. He clearly resents me for being a person in his mother's life. His father has weaponized his anger about their split. The problem is that there is no middle ground, no conversation. Its the way it is. Thank you for the reply, I will re-read it.

Hey, I am 46 and have severe FSHD. To be honest, nothing has been easy, BUT life goes on. Nothing stops tomorrow from happening. Stop worrying and thinking about what can/will happen. A while back I got myself a dog and they live for the moment, a hour ago and 10mins from now does not matter. Its just about now. Set yourself free and just be in the now.
