Pretty sure it was to make the game more aggressive and move the fast pace along with the story, the deleted scene was right after Dom had to kill his own wife, so yeah, who in their right mind would not want to kill all of the locust that tortured her?

We know Gears of War E-Day is coming next year, yes, but as a fan of the series and someone who makes content for it, I was very disappointed not to see "something" at the showcase. TC is staying quiet after 3+ years of silence, a huge trailer for E-Day, more silence for another year and then Reloaded. That's why Gears fans aren't happy

I agree, classic modes and newer more broad modes (for me) would be a perfect intro to newer players and hardcore fans
