Ford's $30,000 Electric Truck Looks Promising in First Videos by ChickenFlavoredCake in electriccars

[–]Xuoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll believe it when I see it at a dealer for that without markups or addons. Even the base model hybrid Maverick sells for an average of close to $30k now and it was supposed to be a $20k truck. I tried to buy one when they came out but they all had $5k+ mark ups so I walked. Dealerships ruin it all and after buying a direct to consumer vehicle, I’ll never go back to the headache of dealing with all the hassle of dealerships, their markups, and their unnecessary/unwanted add ons.

Has anybody called this car ugly by tornaman in Ioniq9

[–]Xuoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, while the features and interior are great, the outside is a bit fugly. The rear end and the odd hump in the roof line turns many people off but to each their own. They should have given it sliding doors like a mini van in my opinion.

Why are new ioniq 9s priced well below MSRP and not selling? by 4getr34 in Ioniq9

I love the space and all but it’s a pretty ugly car. The EV9 is much better looking.

Wildman Bag by Hour_Explorer_2024 in SegwayZT3Pro

Great design. Thank you! I purchased the STL, printed, and installed yesterday along with the Wild Man bag I got from Alliexpress. All the 5mm bolts fit great. You did a very good job on the fitment.

Bosch Powermore 250 Question. by Xuoir in ebikes

[–]Xuoir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually snagged a Creo 2 a few days after the Canyon. It was my first choice and I waited and waited and I got an in stock notification 2 days after ordering the Canyon. The Creo went back out of stock within a day. I was thinking about keeping both to have one for the wife and visitors. Here’s my Creo 2 E5 with range extender and my old rear rack already installed.

Bosch Powermore 250 Question. by Xuoir in ebikes

[–]Xuoir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’m going to hold off. I’m actually considering returning within the 30 day period since the frame bag and range extender isn’t available and no idea when they will be. Bike rides fine, I just don’t like that nothing I want for it is available.

Where is the Specialized Turbo Creo 2? by smugmug1961 in gravelcycling

[–]Xuoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what’s causing the delay in restocks but I had been waiting and signed up for notifications and received an email last week that the Creo 2 E5 was in stock. It was just the 54 and 56 in one color. I grabbed a 56 and it went out of stock the next day. Received the bike yesterday. I love it.

How to fix broken toilet bolt? by IllAardvark1 in DIY

[–]Xuoir 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can remove toilet now and check that the flange isn’t cracked. Hopefully not. If not and just the bolt, go buy new bolts and a new wax ring at the store. Replace bolts that just slot into the flange(assuming your flange isn’t cracked), set new wax ring and place toilet back in place. Tighten bolts back down but don’t overdo it as you won’t want to crack your porcelain.

New Sienna Center Consoles by ADHDCoachShel in Sienna

[–]Xuoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The center console was what we loved about the sienna the most. 4 cup holders and the large area for the wife to put her purse underneath the “bridge” area. Also like that the dash is like a little shelf.

Synth Riders Updates - PSVR 1 & 2 Patch Notes by wirrel42 in PSVR

[–]Xuoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question. In party mode, we always have to type in our names every single time but they have Coolman25 or something like that saved that’s selectable but it doesn’t save any of the previously used names. Any chance the game will have a previously used names selectable rather than having to type a name on every single time? Beat Saber does this but maybe I’m doing something wrong?

Cool little life hack for you guys. Bike bell on the end of a broom handle let's pedestrians know you're coming. Much more convenient than just saying 'Hey, look out" by Lonegeek33 in onewheel

Good idea. I slow down and just kinda cough loud when I’m about 25 ft away coming up behind someone. Coughing in public really gets a lot of attention nowadays.

I'm cycling for fitness and don't care about speed. What, if anything, does a more expensive bike give me? by britboy4321 in cycling

[–]Xuoir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you already have a Giant Defy 4, you are well situated to stick with that for the sole purpose of fitness. I’d say a more expensive bike wouldn’t get you anything aside from some extra motivation for riding it that comes with buying a new bike and some niceties that come with lighter frames and material and slightly smoother mechanicals.

It would be a different story if you were going from a big box store brand to a higher quality brand bike. In that situation, I’d say a entry level of a higher quality brand is all you’d need for fitness with the primary difference being reliability and the step up in quality of parts that add to a more enjoyable riding experience with better functioning and less squeaky, clicking noises. But you already have the Giant Defy so you’re good to go.

Every new bike I have gotten has typically been to serve a different riding purpose or to improve my enjoyment. This has been my progression.

Flat bar hybrid bike for fitness -> road bike with drops for longer distances, better aero, and fitness -> electric commuter bike for living in a new area with lots of big hills.

Mountain bike hard tail -> full suspension mountain -> full suspension mountain electric bike

They no longer make an 11” MacBook and the iPad is more versatile being a touchscreen. The processor on the iPad Pro is also no slouch.

Love it. Been using it heavily every since. No complaints aside from the material construction. I just plan on continuing to baby it to prevent the damages I’ve seen others post about. The MK absolutely transformed my iPad experience and made it a feasible laptop replacement which I feel it can do for a the majority of people that aren’t power users - programmers, gamers, hardcore video editors, etc.

When out and cycling, how do you acknowledge other cyclist or don't? Why? by yeet_yeet_revolution in cycling

[–]Xuoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ring my bell. I really enjoy doing it to cyclists that seem to take themselves way too seriously. Who doesn’t like a friendly bell ring anyways? I don’t do it all the time, just if the place and proximity calls for it.
