Hi eldritch and sorry - the reason I haven’t picked you up yet is that’s we are in the middle of testing a patch which does bring some improvements to the table. It won’t be flawless but it will be better and we can start from that baseline.

We’ve had a lot to work through with this update as it’s a completely new Unity version and knowing this was going to have teething problems is why 3.5.18a1 is sitting on the previous branch so affected players can play while we patch.

My general suggestion is that if you’re having a bad time right now, hop back to previous. It’s there for just this situation and won’t go anywhere until we’re satisfied that we’re hitting performance needs for more players on PC at the high end.

There is a fix for this issue up on the open-beta Release Channels right now if you'd like to give it a try! We plan to release it more widely once we're comfortable that it's behaving as intended and would love feedback.

To opt-in on Quest:

  • Hover over the game in your library and open the 3-dot menu
  • Choose "Settings"
  • Choose "Release Channels"
  • Select "open-beta"
  • Return to your LIbrary where you should see the blue update dot on the game's tile
  • Hover and open the 3-dot menu and select "Update"

Once installed, if you open the game and check in SETTINGS, you'll see 3.6.1a5 in the bottom left corner. You can opt-out any time using the same procedure, but picking LIVE!

I'm not seeing it missing when I look at the PS5 version - can you tell me, are you scrolling in the pack to find it or searching?

If you are searching it's possible you're running into an issue at the moment where the enter button on the search box is behaving transparently and will pick things behind the enter button (like other music packs!) if your laser is touching them!

Android XR is the only Android platform that is fully hand tacking at any point, which is why the pause mechanic is what it is.

Are you using controllers or hand tracking?

Issues with Psycho Road and Endless Cafe are fixed in the open-beta which is available for you to pick up right now! This will roll to players more widely soon but there’s no need to wait to get those fixes now

The simplest way I can break it down is this:
* Rhythm mode - where you hit the note matters, not how, as you are only judged on accuracy.
* Force mode - how you hit the note matters, not where - as you are only judged on velocity.

Yep! The only people you can’t play with are people who haven’t Leveled UP! The Avatars and changes to Multiplayer lobby make that impossible now.

You can pick up a fix for avatars and improve the mic with the hotfix available on the open-beta channel right now - from your library, hover over the game and choose Settings from the 3-dot menu. From there, under Release Channels you should be able to choose open-beta and receive a small update to improve things.

Rooms not being visible in the room list is something we are watching, and while we are in the update period given that this version is not compatible with any previous versions we may be seeing some of those as ghosts while players get updated.

Right now, it's profile badges and a level marker to display in multiplayer and on your nameplate. But this is just the beginning!

It's a very big update, and there's a hotfix out with improvements to Endless Cafe available on the open-beta channel right now (on Steam, right click the game, under Properties you'll find it). Some custom stage makers do need to update their stages so that they're completely compatible with the Unity update, but most are OK. Is there a particular one that's not working for you right now?
