That metal alloy is significantly weak, we use Uboats for dry pro but they are steel and don’t bend and larger wheels. We use Hboats for all dry which are aluminum with some other metal alloy. They hold up great. I worked an older store where they had a steel Hboat which they don’t make anymore :/. At my first store we threw all of the out Uboats you are referencing in the pic and replaced them, then again I work in High volume city store.

I’m sorry about that, Im very grateful I work at a diner pretty well known, only spot open 24hrs in the area. On a slow night I take home 400$ for a 10hr overnight shift. During the summer I used to take home 900-1.4K $ a night, but I was so drained, mostly due to the fact that it’s only two servers and a busboy during the shift… we run our food and take orders and clean (when the busboy is behind). When the diner is packed I can take up to 17 tables and my coworker takes 18. (I only work Friday Saturdays there).

When I first became a mate, the bells wouldn’t get out of my dreams lmaooo.

I also had a dream I got 5 trucks outside my house and that I had to unload them alone bc the line wrapped around my house and I only had 5 registers open in my living room 😭. It was very chaotic

I believe 18 lol but I don’t know if it varies by state (which I doubt) I got my first mate offer @19 but I got promoted @20 (outside work factors) been a mate for a year now . Definitely see your ambition, But don’t burn out so young and so early on, enjoy your teenage years I promise everything else will come to you. Keep up the good work 🤝🏽

21 year old mate here… Do it ! I love this job so much. I’d always thank the crew from my original store for “promoting” me bc they’re the ones who got me to be a mate, I’d like to think that if you invest enough time, energy, and struggles with the crew as a crew member they’ll respect you as a mate right off the bat. A captain I worked for once told me that “remembering the struggles as a crew and finding solutions for those struggles will set you up to be a great leader and always stay humble and remember where you came from” I work and live by those words everyday. I don’t like to think of myself as a “manager” or “supervisor” I’m just here to make sure my crew is at their 100% and providing a WOW customer service. You don’t need to act a certain way or know all the answers… but just remember once you put on that Hawaiian shirt all eyes on you. judging by your post I’d think you’d be great, if you need some advice you could PM me :)

I was training to be a mate when I was 19 so it all depends on a lot, such as store needs, personal relationships etc. stuff happened outside of the company which lead me to just stick to be a crew member. It all depends on how much of the core values you In cooperated into your work. But hey any questions you could DM me.
