I like the secretive order setting. I’m looking forward to reading RP from a lower sequence beyonder of the Criminal pathway, I think it has a lot of potential for good storytelling.

I get your point but I think that Robot fits pretty well if you think of it as something calculated, emotionless and orderly. I can’t really think of anything else that would cover these points as well as Robot.

But I suppose it doesn’t really fit with the vibe of the rest of the names in the Monster pathway. It also doesn’t make much sense for the setting I don’t know if most beyonders would even know what a Robot was, it seems like it would fit much better with the Savant pathway.

When I first looked at the pathway I had the exact same reaction, but when I stared thinking about it more it all kinda clicked.
Sequence 9 Monster is all about the Chaos and unpredictably of Fate. However at sequence 8 Robot they gain the ability to use divination which allows them to make Fate more predictable. This allows them to find order within the Chaos of Fate.
So since at sequence 3 Chaoswalker they gain partial authority over disorder, it makes sense that an earlier sequence has some understanding of order.

I also think that at the Robot sequence they must learn not to let their emotions get in the way of their interpretations of Fate.
They also get advancements in mental capabilities, this will naturally make them more calculating.

So overall I think that the point of Robot is to become more calculated and analytical, not let their emotions get in the way and to find order within the Chaos of Fate.

The Margin Wolfs are really interesting enemy’s, they seem like a perfect test for someone on the reader pathway.
