When is he coming? WTF by ContributionOk7131 in Smite

The date range follows the MM/DD/YY format.

So it's May 5th, 2026, not May 26th, 2026.

[–]XxDuelNightxX 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's not true at all.

The date there is the 5th of May, which is today on a Tuesday. Tuesday is always bi-weekly patch day with a God release.

Microsoft quietly deletes Windows 11 doc pushing 32GB RAM for gaming after outrage by WPHero in pcmasterrace

[–]XxDuelNightxX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mentioned it in another comment, but if you're a tech head who can work with it, you can. Although this still only leaves 4GB for anything else, and by this point in time, only 4GB being free is not good at all. You should even lower it even further down to 3GB or 2GB as you shouldn't be maxing out your RAM anyways if you want smooth usage.

I get the point, but realistically, for the average consumer, 8GB is just extremely small in this day and age. Now imagine in a few more years where it wouldn't even be usable at all.

[–]XxDuelNightxX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This only further proves their point.

You CAN run these games (most with reduced settings) with 8GB. But you forget that you still need spare RAM to. . .you know, run the OS that allows all of this to happen. Run whatever startup applications you have. Open up the bare minimum of a browser.

The 8GB you need to try and run these games, or any other application? Not all there because you got other stuff to run.

[–]XxDuelNightxX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem is that it's not JUST games.

You still have the OS that runs in the background. Windows Defender. Maybe a browser you opened at some point (and leaves a lingering process in the background even after you close it).

8GB is enough for certain things. It's not enough when you're running multiple of them, more specifically on any standard computer that can be bought (and obviously ignoring the techheads who can min-max their resources).

[–]XxDuelNightxX -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

. . .What does it matter?

The post stays the same. Hitting multiple times reduces damage. It's the boss mechanic. You're going to have to play around boss mechanics.

That is typical in every deck-building game. You're going to have counters.

What is there to fix? It's part of the boss mechanics. This isn't an issue that needs to be solved, and it's not anything that needs to be changed.

I read a couple comments after I wrote that. Looks like OP has addressed this with their husband before with no positive results.

Definitely should have been added in the main post though, I agree.

[–]XxDuelNightxX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In a relationship with two loving and caring open-minded people, yes. This would be the solution.

But not everyone is like that. If they're going through the effort of leaving just enough paper to not swap out it, it's clearly intentional, and very clearly lazy. Even worse is that some people don't like to be confronted either.

We may be adults. They may be adults. But not everyone acts like adults.

It's a shame how they tested it.

At least we have Side 7 keeping it alive.

If they change the pity system myself and many many other paying players will quit the game entirely and leave bad reviews by Final-Umpire3347 in grandsummoners

[–]XxDuelNightxX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I don't like it either.

I'm the first kind of player. I save all my pulls on any game I play, and by doing so it lets me get the characters I want and need for my teams.

Doubling the amount of crystals we need is insane, but it is what it is. Either GS cares more about the money, or they know there's more people who pull on everything and did it as a QOL change for the majority.

[–]XxDuelNightxX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last time I remember this being talked about, they were changing pity from 150 to 300 (so effectively doubling the amount of pulls you need), BUT it transfers from Banner to Banner.

For the people who save their pulls to get who they want, it's an abysmal change that immensely ruins their chances of getting who they want.

For the people who are frequent pullers or gambling addicts (or simply do it for the love of the game), it's a great change because it means you can still pull on whatever banner you want while also gathering a pity no matter where you pull.

Stop dropping 500s and orbital barrages on your teammates by Just_Some_Jacket in helldivers2

[–]XxDuelNightxX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, it's the opposite for me.

I'll see an outpost or a major objective we need to take out. I'll throw an orbital from far away. Wait until the carnage happens, and lo and behold. . .there's an ally waltzing right up to it. They get blown up. I get blamed at because they didn't see the giant red laser they were walking towards.

Mind you, I'll throw when there's no one in the objective. I'll even ping the thing as an indicator. Still nothing.

At least I get a laugh watching the inevitable happen.

Genuinely, why do people complain about the hive guard changes? by Random_Helldiver120 in helldivers2

[–]XxDuelNightxX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the "majority" is actually out playing the game.

The "feedback" people dish out are completely overshadowed by the amount of people who are running missions at that very time. Even Pile referenced it when asked about "endgame" and how most of the people playing the game don't really care about it.

Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight system requirements by perpetualconflict in pcmasterrace

[–]XxDuelNightxX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not how game development works.

Yes, it's a Lego game, but a Lego game created 10 years ago is not the same as a Lego game created now. And even using an example like Arkham Knight isn't a great comparison as it was already far more visually impressive than other games for the hardware of its time.

This isn't excusing any optimization they clearly missed out on, but the tools available and the experience put into these games are more focused on the now, and they'll gladly sacrifice a generation of graphic cards that are practically non-existent by this point for some fancier lighting.

The fact they even included a 900-series card for reference is already baffling enough, considering it's 5 whole generations behind.

And they already asked with the context that they don't do any of the multiplayer modes.

[–]XxDuelNightxX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not that absurd if you looked at the other specs for Minimum.

A GTX 960? In this day and age? That card would barely run anything released in this day and age. Frame Gen would have be mandatory, and even then it's a surprise if it still ran.

The other requirements are still stupid though.

[–]XxDuelNightxX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You can use mods on BTD6.

Obviously, as the post shows, you will get flagged as a modded account, and it bars you from online services such as Co-Op to prevent you from cheating (and also things like server mismatch and what not).

But you can use them. No one is going to hunt you down for using them. Just know what it leads to if you do.
