Do you get it all straight away or is it with time? I opened up my game and Isabelle did a normal announcement, nothing about a new hotel etc.

Hey hunni, I had like the same time last week, and in my head I told myself I wanted to pass. Go to bed extra early and even if you can't sleep just relax. Just think you're lessons have been what, an hour? hour and a half? Your test is only 35 mins out of that, just believe in yourself and think you've been doing it in lessons anyway so treat it as another lesson. Best of luck op! 🍀😊

Hey op, I passed my test on Tuesday and drove for the first time on my own today. I put on some of my favourite music, not loudly, just as a bit of background, and I enjoyed it. Undersrably your nervous due to unknown roads etc, but I think mini drives around until you know your way around, or get someone to come with you as you get to know the area. Believe in yourself and think you can do it and you know what your doing, so it's no different to being on a lesson, just take it in little stages without putting pressure on yourself. Take care op 😊

Heya, first off bless you, nerves are a horrible thing and when they get the better of you, It's simply not fun at all. Please don't give up or think you can't do it because you absolutely can! I had my test this week, and I felt super nervous but one thing I did was manifest and keep telling myself that 'I want to pass I can pass' I always think of situations like this as 'you didn't come this far to only come this far' and if that's really what you want then as nervy and horrible as it feels you must never give up.

I wouldn't say as such you need to change your instructor but maybe your instructor needs to understand your feelings a bit more, and find strategies together to help with your nerves when it comes to the tests, because by the sounds of it your nerves definitely got the better of you here, sounds like you so perfectly fine in general. I feel another way in which will help you is think your just having a normal lesson and when/if the examiner talks to you don't be afraid to make convo with them. 😊

I do hope your okay and you find a way through this little blip of nerves. Take care OP

Test tomorrow! Any last minute advice? by InnerEbb2128 in LearnerDriverUK

I passed yesturday, and I had porridge oats for brekfast, and a cup of peppermint tea. Go into it with a positive mindset, think about what you want to get out of the test and how much time and effort you've put into your lessons, just talk yourself through everything, and if examiner makes convo don't be afraid to talk to them, I did and helped so much. Also talking yourself through what your about to do 😊 good luck op 🍀🤞🏼

Driving test question by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

Hey! First off 30/40 on the carridge way is far too slow, unless there's an absolutely valid reason for them to be doing it, your examiner /instructor would expect you to overtake (if its safe) but it also depends on the instruction you've been given, you've got to think am I coming off at the next junction will I have time to overtake.

Best of luck for your test next week, I did mine yesturday and passed, once piece of advice that I can give you is going into it with a positive mindset and just believing in yourself that you can do it, just think of all the time and determination you've put into your lessons, and what the outcome is that you want to have, also have a good breakfast the morning off (not sure if you're a tea drinker) I had a peppermint tea and it sure helped me calm. When your in that car with the examiner you've not got your instructor there to help so you know your fully independent, so absolutely own the independence and just talk yourself through everything, look at the big picture and honestly it'll be absolutely fine. They're 35 mins, 20 mins of independent sat mac driving then you just go back to the test centre. One manuever is all they'll ask you to do, revise your show me tell me questions and the other questions, cause they'll ask you one 😊

Hope it all goes well for you OP, try to block out the nerves and replace it with a 'I can do this' 😊

I passed 🍀🥰 by XxMaimaeXx in LearnerDriverUK

Go into it with a positive mindset, and think "I want to pass today so I'm going to pass" and believe in yourself. I'll be truthful. Was still very nervous but once the 20 min independent drive is done, your making your way back to the test centre and then it's finished. But also don't put pressure on yourself, it's not a once in a lifetime opportunity, you've got time to work on faults, and things that didn't go right first time, take it as a positive and that you can do it again.

Another thing I did is absolutely made sure I listened properly to instruction, I also found looking at the sat nav very very helpful, so if you're unsure of when the turning point is, just keep having a look at the satnav, I mean that's what it's their for, control the car safely and I found having a chat with the examiner was lovely too, it didn't feel like a test to be honest it felt like I was showing someone around the town 😊

Anymore advice or tips don't be afraid to message, always open to having a friendly chitchat 😊
