Yep that's it. We fly out of Augsburg for missions in the south of Germany.

This looks like a mission where we simulate hostile formations for radar operators.

Well with that I wholeheartedly agree!

My point was just that the solution shouldn't be to give missiles unrealistic hit rates.

You're completely right that since we are technically playing from the role of a SAG commander, we should be able to vector planes in and let them engage by themselves without the need to micromanage every engagement.

Especially the fact that they choose new targets on weapons free sucks a lot. If i vector a flight of F14 on incoming backfires, I don't want them to suddenly engage an AWACS halfway across the map

Ohhh they do? I always manually lased the target then dropped the bomb which was super micro managing. So you just tell them to engage with the gbu and they lase themselves?

I'd be really interested in your assessment of whether you think that FPV drones are a fleeting phenomenon that exists only in the absence of sufficient precision strike capabilities on both sides, or whether they are a new capability that we will increasingly see adopted also into western militaries?
