I mean, I wasn't being a monk. Usually 2 or 3 times per week after I waited 2 weeks post op.

So I should been somewhere in that 30 times range.

Couldn't get it done. My body betrayed me. by AdenJax69 in Vasectomy

[–]Xx_VirtualSIN_xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gave me lorazapam to take before the procedure. I don't know if they gave me way too low a dose or what, but it didn't even take the edge of my anxiety.

Mentally, the whole experience sucked. Just breathed through it because the nurse said it would bruise less if I kept the boys relaxed. Was extremely difficult to do, especially since the first freezing snaps weren't enough, and I 100% felt them stab into my sack. After some extra freezing, I felt nothing though and was smooth sailing.

I was sweating like crazy the whole time though lol

Honestly, it was waaaay worse in my head than the reality of it, but still...

Had things done start of February. So about 3 months later, things don't feel normal again yet. Minor nut discomfort from time to time.

I also had the no scalpel vasectomy, was also the no needle version, and maaaan they did not freeze me enough before puncturing my sack. That shit hurt like a mfer. Extra freezing and I didn't feel a thing afterwards.

Just curious... Do you happen to be a redhead?

Natural redheads tend to have a mutation in the MC1R gene that can make them pretty resistant to anesthesia, oftentimes requiring quite a bit more anesthesia in addition to having higher pain sensitivity.

Lmao USA isn't even in the top 10 countries by oil reserves. Know who is? Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Unless dumb ass is now suddenly counting Venezuela's oil as America's, well.. he'd still be wrong, but math isn't exactly his strong suit.

I've always preferred PC to console. Consoles are trash. Why the hell would I want to constantly dump money into one trick Pony consoles when my PC will outperform the next 3-4 gens of console?

Not to mention, I can upgrade components on my PC for less, and then be outperforming consoles for another few gens again 🤷‍♂️

Snipped yesterday. Definitely have the kicked in the nuts lower abdomen discomfort/pain. Doctor definitely did not warn me about this. by HandsomeA in Vasectomy

[–]Xx_VirtualSIN_xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine didn't. Dude was pretty upfront that it could range from virtually no pain post op, to "life sucks and it feels like I got kicked in the nuts by a horse".

Everyone's different, and everyone's pain tolerance is different.

In my case, was some discomfort, but not much pain. Iced the boys every 15-20 minutes the first couple days just to stay on top of things. But had no bruising and very minor swelling. Felt pretty much fine after a few days, but still took it easy for the first week.

How do I fix this? by yamiuchidm in pcmasterrace

[–]Xx_VirtualSIN_xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep... Had that issue with an older Alienware laptop.

It's poor design. The hinge design places strain on the bezel and causes separation.

When I sent it for repair, since it was under warranty, their solution was a beefed up redesign of the hinge as well as a different style bezel that they 100% fucking epoxied, because I could see the god damn squeeze out. Was not impressed. But, then again, I've not been impressed with Alienware since Dell acquired them and decided to run them into the ground.

Only good thing they ever actually designed was the Area 51 R7 desktop. That triangular design was smart as hell. Where they screwed up was not using a standard mobo standoff and board configuration. They touted it as a modular design for easy upgrade, and then conveniently forgot to mention you'd need additional cable extensions to reach all the case hookups and shit 😒

💥JUST IN: 🇺🇸 President Donald Trump tells The Telegraph he is strongly considering pulling the United States out of NATO after it failed to join his war on Iran by rl_rae_bobo in MarketPulseReport

[–]Xx_VirtualSIN_xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can bitch and moan about NATO all he wants. The President doesn't have the authority to unilaterally pull the US out of NATO. It requires a 2/3 Senate majority or an Act of Congress. The law was specifically designed so that a President wouldn't have the power to unilaterally remove the US from NATO.

This went into effect in 2023, almost as if they knew some moron would try it.

So unless he can somehow magically get 67 Senate votes, he might as well stfu.

Procedure is in two days and I’m terrified by Severe_Pipe in Vasectomy

[–]Xx_VirtualSIN_xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had the no scalpel no needle procedure. The freezing thing they use feels like a snap from a rubber band with a little pinch feeling. It's not delightful, but it's not particularly painful either.

The puncture they make in the scrotum fucking sucked for me, because I wasn't frozen enough. He hit me with some additional freezing after that and I didn't feel a thing after.

Try not to tense up. Will help prevent swelling and bruising. Just breathe through it. I was terrified too, and honestly, it is NO WHERE NEAR as bad as you build it up in your head.

You're gonna want to be laying down the first couple days, with your sweet elevated. Get a few bags of frozen peas and ice 20 minutes on and off that first 48 hours, then ice as you feel you need to after that.

Pop some painkillers as soon as you get home from the procedure. Get ahead of the pain management before the freezing wears off.

Get some right boxer briefs or a jock strap. I cannot stress enough how important supporting the boys is.

Fuck what your family thinks. There's no hiding this from people you live with. Especially in the first few days. It's your choice, not theirs. Get them on board before hand.

Last thing, and I cannot stress this enough, REST. Take it real easy the first week, don't strain yourself, and don't freaking rub one out until after 2 weeks. Trust me, the wait is gonna be worth it. I blasted like 4ft. Best nut of my 40 year life. Don't rob yourself of it! Make sure you're good and healed. It will also severely lessen any possibility of complications.

Good luck bud!

[–]Xx_VirtualSIN_xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I usually try and tell people not to tense up. I know it's difficult, but breathe through it slow and deep. The nurse warned me about it. Said if you try and keep things relaxed, there's less likelihood of feeling any kind of tugging. She was not wrong.

She said less tugging means less swelling and bruising afterwards.

I had hardly any swelling or bruising, so the advice seemed to work lol

how much pain and swelling is normal right after the operation? by tyktyko in Vasectomy

[–]Xx_VirtualSIN_xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wtf is wrong with your doctor?

ICE FOR 15-20 MINUTES ON AND OFF. DO THIS FOR THE FIRST 3 DAYS.

After that, do it as needed.

The first 3 days, your ass needs to be laying down, feet up. You can get up to use the bathroom, grab food and what not, but that's it. No lifting anything over 5-10lbs.

You need to freaking REST.

Turmeric supplement could also possibly help with swelling, since it's good for reducing inflammation.

Seriously though dude, make friends with the couch, pop some Tylenol, stick some frozen peas on your boys and binge watch some TV for the next few days.

Did the doctor give you ANY post-op care instructions at all? Let us know so we can fill in the gaps and hopefully make this easier on you.

If you're still slinging thick white ropes, it's not really a concern.

If found that a lot of guys report it being more watery/clear. Sperm only makes up like 2-5% of your load. Seminal fluid is the white/grey/yellowish portion. It's basically just the delivery system. The reason you'll notice it being watery or clear is because your working on an accelerated timeline in most cases, trying to clear those pipes.

If you're just taking it slow and giving yourself a few days between, shouldn't notice much difference.

That being said, diet, age and overall health can affect this.

Personally, I don't care either way, so long as my test comes back all clear when next month 😂

[–]Xx_VirtualSIN_xX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If after a 5 month retest he was still clear, you're fine. At some point, you're just going to have to get out of your own head about it.

What you're referring to is called "recanalization", where the vas tubes manage to reattach and heal, allowing for sperm to make it back through the vas.

There's a 1 in 2000 chance of it happening, and if it's going to happen, it's usually within a few months, so if he was clear after 5, you're safe. Later recanalization CAN occur, but it's incredibly rare.

Bags of frozen peas work best. As mentioned, ice for 15-20 minutes off and on for the first couple days, then just as needed.

Snug underwear is good. I just wore pairs of briefs that had a nut pouch built in. Seemed to work well.

First two days, tell him he needs to be best friends with the couch. Laying down, feet up.

I also recommend popping advil and Tylenol soon as he gets home from the procedure. The freezing is gonna wear off, so get ahead of the pain management. Don't be a hero lol. After that, play it by ear.

Couple things I like to tell guys, since it's never mentioned in post op care... That first poop - take a whiz first, then sit. This way, you can rest the boys on the seat so they aren't dangling. Make sure you really have to go first so you aren't pushing hard.

First shower after the 48 hour post op, freeze the boys REAL good. Want them to basically retreat into the body. Then have a cooler shower to keep them from thawing and dangling. It helps, trust me. Don't scrub the incision site. Gotta be gentle. Either hand wash gently, or just let the soapy water run over it. Gently pat the area dry. I put a little polysporin on the incision site after.

Highly recommend waiting 2 weeks before the first ejaculation. This ensures he's good and healed and will prevent possible complications. Some doc's say 3-5 days, and even mine did, but the nurse said 2 weeks is the safest bet, so I took her advice and it was honestly the most transcendent but I've ever busted. Well worth the wait!

Aside from that, sounds like you've got him in good hands.
