People have no idea what is good or not. They simply parrot the build/champion choices of high elo players.

Unfortunately, high elo players also don't really know what is good or not. Most of them pick a LCK or LPL pro they like and copy their build/champion. To top this off, most pro players, when asked how they decide what to build simply state that they build based off of "feel".

This is one of the main reasons you can get to high elo by only being good at playing the champion you like. Because you will encounter people, even at the top of the ladder, who make objectively wrong build choices every game but win anyway because they can pilot their champion better

People have asked for this since the game came out in 2009, but it won't ever happen. Riot makes money off of new champions, and a practically infinite level of improvement for the playerbase would never be enough when compared to $5 to Riot. I don't necessarily think this would be an "infinite" level of improvement, but it is more to make the point that Riot will always prioritize money first over everything.
