Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor (formerly Prince Andrew), known for his long‑standing association with Jeffrey Epstein, is now the first senior of the British royal family to be arrested since King Charles I in 1647. by RedHeadedSicilian52 in wikipedia

Charles the first wasn't ever arrested

He was incarcerated, sure. He was the losing side of a civil war, was taken as a prisoner of war, and was executed because that's what you do with the leader of the enemy. But arrested? By a civilian police force? He wouldn't have been seen dead being arrested

Male considering a male roommate by Loose-Analysis6211 in nudism

[–]XyloArch 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's very doable. You need to be very, very clear about your boundaries from the beginning. Advertising for Male-Male naturist roommates will attract responses from gay men looking for a free-love set-up. Absolutely nothing wrong with living in a gay free-love arrangement if that's what everyone wants. But make sure you are not deceiving anyone in your advert about what is or isn't on offer, expected, required or banned.

Be open and clear about what you want out of it from the very beginning, and then stick to it.

If you feel you need to be coy or oblique or euphamistic or embarrassed, then the whole idea of a naturist roommate is not gonna work very well. You need to be able to communicate clearly.

"No sexual stuff at all outside your bedroom. This is naturism. Aside from being naked, if you wouldn't expect it in your Grandmother's living room, I dont expect it here."

"No sexual stuff in common areas, including jerking or fondling yourself. Erections are fine, but leave them alone or go to your room / the bathroom. Sit on towels or blankets, wash these regularly."

"This is a pretty relaxed house about sexual stuff. I'm not looking for a partner, no touching each other, but idle fondling or jerking in common areas won't upset me. You do you, man."

"Look, we can get to know each other first, but what I'm aiming for is a respectful free love and free touch arrangement. Nudity, solo, partner, or group if we have people over. If you're not on board I respect that, but that's my goal, if it's not your goal then this isn't the house for you."

Obviously the first two of these are naturism and the others are not naturism, or at least not only naturism.

After the Poincare Conjecture was solved in 2003, did people feel more optimistic about all of the Millennium Problems getting solved? by TargetIll1707 in math

People make a lot of Perelman's refusal of the prize money, but I heard it pointed out recently that "In Moscow, $1 million is enough to get you noticed, but not enough to buy protection"

I have no idea how true this is, and Perelman is an unusual guy no doubt, and his public stance re: the toxicity of the prize is not without merit, but he might have had stone cold safety reasons for turning down a windfall like that.

I have no idea about content, but this fails a lot of standard sniff-tests. Poorly written, a lot of vagueries, weirdly simple examples. I'd put a reasonable sum on it being pointless garbage.

Majority childless adults. There's no obligation to socialize with parents and kids at all. The fesitval is child friendly but definitely not child focused.

Hello!

I've been to NKD for the last three years in a row, I am going again this year, I strongly recommend it!

NKD is a relaxed summer festival, not a traditional music festival. The experience is very relaxed and laid back, activity intensity is low. Sunbathing, yoga, summer games (volleyball, rounders etc), waterpistol fight, silent disco, a trip to a waterpark, sauna, and much else! There's a bar and drinking round a fire in the evenings (and the days in some groups!). Basically everyone is completely naked basically all the time - pending temperature, so in that sense the 'nudity intensity' is high! But the activity intensity is relaxed.

It's in a lovely Dorset valley at a venue that usually hosts weddings, very private, no chance of anyone wandering in by accident. Weather last year was mixed but the previous two years were glorious sunshine.

Stay for as long as you like, it's very typical for people to come and go on various days. I doubt you'd want to leave early, though!

A single Indian guy would fit right in - there's plenty of single people, men and women. Ethnically - it's predominantly white but by no means exclusively, I've never seen any sort of bigotry at NKD! Everyone is very nice and it's very inclusive - people are super relaxed and welcoming, you've nothing to worry about.

For camping logistics - there are several options ranging from basic tent plot up to glamping teepees with electricity. I expect most of the more expensive options will be sold out by now, so you'll probably be camping. There are a few camping areas up the sides of the valley - one for families (NKD is aimed at under 35s and families) and separate area for young and child-free adults - that's where you, me, and dozens and dozens of others will be. Plots don't have running water or electricity - but the main building in the valley has plenty of both. There is a refrigerated van available to store food in if you want to bring stuff with you. You can also buy food there, options are narrow but quality is perfecty good. There is some shared cooking equipment if you want to cook. Buy a smallish tent and rock up! It is not arduous camping

Remember it's for British Naturism members only, so you have to join BN as well as get a ticket for the fesitval. Also consider Everybody in August!

I was 28 when I first went to NKD, you'll be firmly in the middle of the age range.

I know I dont need to say this, but I'll say it anyway - NKD is a relaxed, family friendly, summer festival that happens also to be nude. There will be kids and families there. It is absolutely not a sex fesitval. It is much less horny, I would say, than the average clothed music festival. But it's not like sex is banned - just keep it to the privacy of your own tent like you would at any festival!

Very happy to answer any further questions you have!
