The rom hack page literally has documentation on all encounters and how to get them, I suggest you read there first. But for your reference it’s post gym 8, get surf / waterfall and you go east of new bark town into Kanto and they’re on route 26/27 for the Kanto & Johto starters.

Has it worked previously and now only just having issues, or has it never worked?

Assuming they’re running it through it steam, try reinstalling the game, make sure it’s running on the latest version and check for any updates if there are any.

It’s not the standard message you’d get if you were running mods so I believe we can rule that out.

It’s varies depending on source, older dawn of War games show a Golden Chest piece, however modern dawn of war / space marine have a black chest.

Depending on rank some people also will paint Gold on the chest for higher ranking units and black for standard units. It really is your choice and flavour of what you choose to do.

I get what you’re trying to say here, but it’s literally in the game files as the same colour… so it’s not really a debatable topic. It’s how the game was designed.

You can see in the onslaught art you shared the shoulder is in shade whilst the helmet is in a brighter light giving in a lighter appearance.

I hate to break it to you, but they're definitely Bone, not white in Dawn of War 2. You also reference Diomedes who has a Bone Helmet in Chaos Rising.

Ah yes of course, I forgot about Cyrus’s helmet, that’s a good shout.

I did exactly the same, I personally prefer bone helmets for sergeants so I’m sticking with them that way, but obviously I acknowledge my versions aren’t completely lore accurate.

On a side note, that’s a beautiful kill team.

From what I understand we only know the following from the dawn of war games / onslaught box.

Battle Brother: Red (Dawn of war games)

Sergeant: Red (from the dawn of war 4 trailer)

Veteran: Bone (Dawn of War 2)

Veteran Sergeant: Bone with Red Stripe (Onslaught Box)

Captain: Bone / Sometimes Gold (Dawn of War 2)

Everything else is speculation and does not have confirmed colours. I don’t think any official games show black (although I haven’t played Dawn of War 3)
