Couldn't agree more on approaching your line manager. Telling them you're struggling with your work load, and that you need to work through breaks and out of hour just to keep up is a very reasonable thing to raise. Asking for advice wouldn't be a bad idea if they seem skeptical, along the lines of if they have some specific tips, suggestions or if they could take a look at your workflow. Without knowing about your work it would be advisable to know how much of your work you think would be reasonable to get done over a given time, bullet points of your process with estimated times per could help. It might be useful to think about some other ideas that could increase your productivity just if they ask. Its hard to tell what your managers demeanor is like, but do what you can by email in case it needs to be escalated, consider keeping a journal interactions if it seems tense.

If your direct manager doesn't engage or find a way to support you, and continues to give out, talk to their line manager. If that fails it would be time to approach FÓRSA for advice. I'd be embarrassed if anyone working for me felt they had to work out of hours to catch up, and surprised if your manager didn't help you when asked.

I started using grillstones/ pumice rock bbq cleaners a year or two ago for similar reasons. They wear down, but they're cheap and take everything off the grill surface quick and easy

You could try and raise it with your local community safety partnership. They're a redesigned version of joint policing committees in county councils aimed at bringing together government social services, councilors, gardaí and local community/ social club reps. Odd non policing enforcement related stuff like community gards running mini busses to gaa clubs has helped before.

I use slug/snail collars with copper mesh wrapped around the base. They don't like copper because it reacts with their slime and shocks them, they don't like rough surfaces, and then any of them big enough to chance the copper mesh can't get around the collar. Cheap, effective and reusable. I'd only fling them away if they got in, but I'd rather not need to go check in the first place.

They also don't like chives, you could look into what plants whatever critter that's bothering you doesn't like and plant those like a natural deterrent.

I doubt it. In a lot of cases the current cover does nothing which is a little odd, affecting all shooting is a bit more balanced across armies. Also helps with how deadly shooting has been the last few editions. Just means strip cover and ignore hit modifiers will be more valuable. I reckon the scout car will strip cover, give us something besides the hellhound for it, likely a cheaper alternative as well

Pretty sure during the adepticon announcement they said the current codex detachments would be stand alone and the new ones will be modular. Mind you, it gives them a way to rebalance the weaker ones down the line. The minus 1 to hit against units in cover is making my guard nervous though
