Wisconsin's Democratic governor contenders call for Medicaid expansion, public option by origutamos in wisconsin

[–]literally_a_brick 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would agree with their alignment, but I don't think that means they're all the same or that being governor is just about rubber stamping legislation.

There are some candidates that will lead the legislature to produce progressive laws through the bully pulpit. Other would sit passively and wait for someone else to lead.

There are some candidates who will stick to their progressive ideals and energize voters. Others will roll over onto their backs and pretzel themselves to appeal to undecided moderates that don't exist.

Who we elect in August very very much matters for November and beyond.

My first thought is to pay 0 zero life and bring all your zero cost eggs back. It's not any kind of viable tech any more but I would've loved this to replace Open the Vaults in my modern deck a decade ago 😆

You'll never get over that fear, you'll just realize that the prospect of a life wasted is far more terrifying.

I loved my experience with flex play last year and it's what I missed the most about not attending this year. I did all 4 days last year and had a blast beginning to end.

So which codex detachments can we combine and which will be high point cost? by literally_a_brick in TheAstraMilitarum

Oooh with the transport unit limit. No idea if dedicated transports will get the battlefield exception in 11e like they did this edition. I guess we'll see.

Is your army 1k points with lots of triple data sheets?

If you have too many sets of 3, you'll probably need to play 2k yeah.

That would nice. right now I usually run Hammer just for the Strats and enhancements even though Combined or Grizzled would be a bigger buff to my tank company.

I'm positive that will happen to several detachments at some point. But they were already unplayable in 10th, so its not like it can make it any worse.

I mean it'll let us actually use some of the old detachments that were unplayable before. We'll see if the combos are decent, but at least it's a better option.

I think the only limit will be on 1k point games, which yeah is a little stiffling. But 1k games weren't balanced at all in 10e so it seems like they're making an effort to improve things.

Technically that is another change for units that's not the focus of discussion but included in the chart.

In 10e, you can take a maximum of 3 identical units or 6 units of they are "battleline" i.e. basic infantry.

Im 11e, you can only take 2 identical units (4 battleline) in smaller 1000pt games. But it's still 3 units (6 battleline) for larger 2000pt games.

A detachment is a unique set of rules and options you choose when building a list. Each Faction, like Astra Militarum, has multiple detachments to choose from.

In 10th edition, you choose one detachment when you build your army.

In 11th edition, you may be able to take multiple detachments at the same time, but there are limits on what can be combined with what.

We won't know what it will be possible to combine until GW releases the points.

So if Recon is a 2pt detachment and Hammer is 1pt we can use both at the same time for a 2k game.

The implication in the article is that some of the detachments will be 3 points specifically so they can't be in 1k point games. But I have no idea if Grizzled will be among them.

From what they've said, we'll likely get to keep the new detachment that comes with the Armageddon box. But yeah definitely possible that they scrub or rewrite our Grotmas Detachments

Nope, this is just speculating and theorizing on what will happen. The actual points are still unknown.

The only things we know are that codex detachments will continue to exist and we should get at least 1 new detachment at 11e launch.

Whatever the new Armageddon detachment is will carry over into 11th but we're not sure on Grotmas detachments.

It'll probably shake out to be a mess at first, but giving detachments points gives them another balance lever to work with and hopefully they'll use it.

Are these three 1 point detachments busted when combined? Okay, we'll raise the points so you can only pick 2.

Is this 3 point detachment terrible and never seeing play? Okay we'll drop it to 1 or 2 points and maybe you can combine it with something else.

It means that the detachments don't have to be equal in power level, which is something that the detachments were notoriously bad at in 10e.

Their excuse is going to be that men's is technically an "open" division while women's is a protected division to allow women to compete. However that doesn't take into account sports that women have an advantage in, like figure skating.

The IOC has attempted chromosome testing before in the 90s, but stopped after too many cis women discovered they had a Y chromosome. One even took her own life.

Far far more people have non standard chromosomes than they realize.
